So we are getting 4 new cards in the classic set, the consensus is that those cards have a very low power level/value/usefulness.
There are 2 scenarios:
1. You are going for value, and have a small classic collection/missing a lot of cards, prioritize classic packs this month, until the 4 new cards arrive you will have bigger chance to land on better cards statistically.
2. You have big collection, you like to collect cards and be a completionist- SAVE any classic pack you get from any source (Tavern brawls/quests) and open them next month when the cards arrive that way you can get those cards so when/if those cards become viable(I can see pilfer and tome of intelligence card becoming viable at SOME point) you will not need to craft them , or if you want a complete classic collection or whatever.
TL;DR: if you have a big collection save reward classic packs, if you are relatively new player, prioritize classic packs for bigger value.
Point 2) is kinda pointless, three of those cards r common and the one epic is not very good anyway, so if it ever becomes a core of a freeze deck, you can just craft it. No need to hoard packs just to save like 200 dust on the commons lol.
Wasn't there something about some cards being sent to Hall of Fame? If so, ? I guess not disenchanting extra copies of any good Classic card is a good idea. Or at least it seems so.

Past two new HS years there have been some Classic cards sent to Hall of Fame, yes. So we can expect that to happen in the future, if Blizzard will think there r more offenders or cards that r restricting design space. So next batch will be with the first expansion in 2019.
That being said, i dont think there is an infinite number of cards that would need to be send to HoF, so either they will stop at some point or will take this process as a way to basically slowly reprint Classic set lol.

200 dust is better than 4 random common you would get otherwise, that you disenchant anyway for 5 dust. 200 dust is half an epic. I prefer not wasting dust to craft commons they have the worst disenchant/craft ratio (I really don't know why commons don't cost 20 to craft.) about the epic if some day it becomes a core card in a freeze deck, you theoretically waste 800 dust crafting both copies if you would now open a dupe epic.
If you have a small collection you would rather not open that bad-maybe-someday-usedful card and open more classic packs now that you would otherwise to get a better epic if you would open an epic. that's 300 dust save there. or even 600 on a pair of epics you would want to get from classic.
it's not a big deal but min-maxing any chance of getting better deals out of your packs is always a good idea, just a tip if you like to collect cards or you prefer to have more variety of cards (even low power level ones).
I don't buy the "even the most useless cards might see play someday" argument with these cards. I can see MAYBE the epic being played (not really though - you can never get the card draw value on turn 2 unless you have the coin, why not just play novice engineer or something?), but the commons? The examples you list actually do something and give you a body. Get a random spell/demon/class card as a 1 mana spell does something, but it's not a very good something AND there is no bonus to it like babbling book giving you a body or hallucination letting you discover the spell.
These cards just don't seem to have a point. What problem are they solving? Giving me more cards I have to dust from my tavern brawl packs? Maybe you'd pick them in arena if the other choices aren't good enough, but who has been asking for more mediocre arena cards compared to how many people have been asking for things we actually want like tournament mode?
I've got around 6k dust and a large collection. I think most people with a large collection in a similar boat. If you're a regular player, it's not hard to accumulate resources without paying money.

This is some of the most useless information I have ever read. It's not that big of a deal.

dumb thread is dumb
any tips for getting my 30 seconds back?

as a reminder even the most useless cards might see play SOMEDAY (see: Voodoo Doctor, Raid Leader, Stormwind Champion)
It's annoying to get bashed while trying to help though... that's rude. if you have nothing nice to say you can raise your post count elsewhere.

hey OP. I appreciated the thread and your take on it. Cheers. You were just exploring two perspectives others may have not thought about.
hello.
Yes, it's pretty obvious:
If you already have a big collection, don't open any Classic packs until the new cards are released.
