I was one of the many players who really genuinely enjoyed Reno during his time in Standard. However, now that he's out it's very obvious that the post-mean streets reno decks really were doing a lot to crush midrange archetypes and force the cancerous rock-paper-scissors stagnant meta that we can all agree was one of the worst of all time. On his own, Reno was fun but the support that MSoG gave him (in combination with the festering cancer that is PW) really did lead to the most stagnant meta since UT Hunter.
All these "control" fans talking about how skillful the deck was when your gameplan half the time was "draw Reno = win". Dumber than the dumbest aggro deck, not to mention poor design on blizzards side. Promoted deck inconsistency for a couple OP anchor points.
Good riddance. Have fun wild players, in 2-3 expansions the only playable decks will be reno, as the amount of sheer cards and soft reprints reaches critical mass and running only "one-offs" barely hurts deck quality anymore.
no, your gameplan was to use your resources the most effectively to not die to you the retarded aggro face deck players that otherwise wouldn't even care about the minions you were putting on board, have fun when your fuckbuddy patches rotates to wild.
Use your resources effectively and also pray your draw him before turn 6.
It turned a lot of games into coin flips on that one factor, drawing Reno or not, and that can't be good for the game no matter how you look at it, and that doesn't even address the arguement that by having a card that wins vs agro on Turn 6, you force agro decks to go full full face just so they have a chance of winning before that.
What is all this about "if you draw reno you win"? No you only win that match against aggro, but against anything else it was not a instant win. Reno was a much needed counter to aggro - A card that inspired me and probably other to play more fun oriented deck with cards that might not be considered the best - for me that card could be Nexus-Champion Saraad. All this hate on reno, I can only imagine players that go for the face and doesn't really want to play longer games or try out new fun cards that isn't made for early rush.
I guess my main reason to play priest is to always have heal that gets me back in the game when my opponent is all about the face.
I do miss him in Standard mainly because Un'goro seriously lacked neutral healing, which resulted in some of the dumbest gameplay I've ever seen. I can't stand losing to players that just go face every turn, especially the whole Burn Mage/Midrange Hunter/Murloc Paladin/Pirate Warrior/Token Shaman/Aggro Druid shit. I still play him in Wild.

I still don't really see reno outside warlock, mage, priest. Kazakus is a big reason why. I tried other reno decks but they are still inconsistent and without kazakus, not worth it. Maybe in several years from now, reno will become autoinclude in every non aggro deck like Dr. Boom currently is and still is. The odds of a nerf are slim as those cards aren't autowin except facerush decks and burn decks, but then, you take the risk running those decks. If reno is ever nerfed, it will only be after there's plenty of other heals/taunt options.

A lot of archetypes need 2-ofs for consistancy, and even though Shielded Minibot is only slightly better than Haunted Creeper, you still want 2 of the former. Reno is also a bad turn-6 tempoplay, if tempo is your main win condition. As for control, it can be hard for druid to cut a Wild Growth, and warrior lose on the board, not on its HP-total, they have plenty of armorgain anyway.
Dr. Boom is not seen that much, probably because he is bad against pirates, and I believe Bonemare will actually take his spot in some decks, as he is better and faster if you have something on the board.
