So during my laddering today I met a golden Priest and he decided it was a good idea to rope every turn either before finishing his play or after he played his things roped till the very last second. What would you do in this situation? Let him win? We don't seem to have a lot of options towards this kind of behavior and I need your opinions.
U know there a people out there who think about each turn to make optimal plays?
You had to say something like that right? I thought i was CRYSTAL clear that he played every single mana crystal and then roped while emoting right? Or you havent faced that player ever and you live in a parallel universe
These people feel like they're entitled to rope that, that you're doing something wrong and that they hold the Real Truth. It's Hearthstone way of doing fascism, forcing people to suffer their narrow views.
So the only thing you can do is do some other things while you feel sorry for them.
I know that this is pretty crappy to come up against, but really all you can do is not let it bother you. Use the extra time to double, triple check your own plays. Come up with the best response to your opponent's plays. They have 90 seconds per turn and they're completely entitled to use it however they like, unfortunately, even if that includes emote spam while their rope burns.
Sadly, sometimes you are in a rush and just want to get in a quick game, and in those circumstances you might well be forced to concede, Otherwise, definitely don't just let them win - it encourages this kind of behaviour more. Sometimes if you rope them right back once or twice they'll get the message that you don't mind waiting and actually start to play normally, but there isn't too much else you can do. Load up your favourite stream. Browse on some forums or wiki walk a little. Try not to let it tilt you and just play out the game.
So what you do is you rope him back. Just do something on your phone. Let him know that he has no chance whatsoever to ladder if he ropes people. Then the next day come on to Hearthpwn and watch him complain about whatever deck you were playing. It always works like a charm.
Didn't know that every turn in Hearthstone lasted 20 minutes. Thats news.
So I have to actually mention that 20 minutes is obviously the duration of the total time Im gonna spend alt-tabbed, like talking to a 5 yo :)
Yes, you do. Because if you don't I will assume that you also don't play.
This thread is like something written by a 5 yo. The option is concede or wait he does whatever he's doing. Which kind of feedback do you want? Do you want me to say "yea that's boring better concede as you suggested"?

I tried roping him back in the first turns but then the tilt got to me and I started playing normally :/
In Chess.com if a player with a lost game just leave the opponent win for time instead concede (+ than 1 minute left) the action is noted, if this become a common behavior the player is banned, something similar in HS will be great, much asshole don't know to lose or lack of sporting spirit.

Rofl.
Its a hearhstone forum so people share their experiences and advice with others, if you wanna be an ass about it why bother replying to every single thread that is being made, nothing else to do huh, sad

No, he doesn't. It was very obvious that 20 minutes was the total number of wasted minutes.
I just replied yours because it was dumb, tbh. Rofl.
Rofl? How much time do you usually spend on forums you don't actually wanna reply that you feel entitled to include acronyms to make your comment "viable" ? And no you dont just reply to mine, you've done this in like every post i've visited on this site. Coincidence or not
Well I'm just like, you think roping me will make me concede or I'll suddenly have to go? Hah, I'll rope you back, enjoy. *alt-tabs on a tv show or smth*
Hahaha yeah that would be ideal, but it was one of those times that I had nothing else to do sadly :P
When I meet people who intentionally rope, I rope back. I always browse the internet while playing anyway so it's not that big of a deal.
It's an extremely rare occurence though, thankfully. Usually people will rope one or two turns, probably because they have something else that needs doing, but then they'll play normally.

Wut? Just wait. Alt+Tab or something.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Corvus oculum corvi non eruit.
I almost never let them win unless I have to go. I figure they are hoping that I will quit so that they auto-win and I refuse to reward that behavior.

Rope back. Most people get the message and speed up their plays when they have it happen to them.
At least that is my experience.
Usually I just alt-tab and ignore them though.
