I did start playing HS six months from now and got only crap legs. My first one was The Beast, then a Ogre from Gvg on arena pack.
Took me long time to craft my first and it was only possible cause I dusted them both. Also got pretty lucky on WoToG and got like 5 legendaries: Shifter Zerus , Dark Pagle, Dark Mukkla, and a golden druid legendary (the only one I still have).
My advice DE everything in classes u don t play... I dust every card I got to pala and rogue, do it!

This thread is litterally for people like you, Zerus will see play one day and it is best to never disenchant unless straight trash.
Zerus is only useful in decks that can hold it time enough to find something useful (control, handlock decks) both are usually expensive decks since I dont play these kind of deck (exactly cause they are 2muchdusttocraft) I dusted them all. I will never de classic legendaries tho. Not even pala and rogue.
But those expansions legendaries worth much more, 4 epics,16 rares are so more useful to build a core to a deck than a single card.
Hey, thanks for the advice on your thread. Ive been playing since August last year but still consider myself a bit of a newbie as I still have lots to learn. I have been very temped to disenchant cards including legendaries but the problem is I have no clue if they are good or trash so after lots of advice on here I have decided to not de any of them as they might see play in the future.
I was scared incase I disenchanted a really good legendary as I doubt I will have tons of dust to craft it again. So many people have told me they disenchanted cards when they started and now they regret it.
Maybe more experienced players are happy to disenchant legendaries but am going to hold onto mine :)
In my first week of playing I opened a Sylvanas Windrunner and disenchanted it after a few days because I'm stoopid. About a month later when I finally had the dust I crafted it again..
I have both The Beast and Gruul. These were the first two legendaries I opened from the Classic set. I believe that Gruul will find a place at some point, but The Beast has too heavy a detriment to really work. Only with Tundra Rhino or Charge does he become super strong. Yet I haven't found it in me to disenchant him. I did, early on, disenchant Gormok the Impaler because I tried playing him and couldn't ever seem to keep four minions on the board to play him. I was under the impression that as a 4-mana card, he would be played most optimally on turn 4. I had no concept of the zoo deck at that point. So that's probably my only legendary disenchant regret.
I've only disenchanted the crappy GvG and Naxx legendaries, and I've disenchanted a golden Gormok the impaler. Even though Gormok does have it's use in some decks, the Tirion fordring I crafted from the dust has served me much, much better.
Guys, i dont think its too difficult to discern what a useful legendary is vs one that is trash tier. I would have never dusted Edwin, Deathwing, or Cenarius. Its VERY easy to tell that these cards are very powerful. Cards like Illidan and Gazlowe are a little more tricky, but are very unique and potentially powerful. I would keep them. I would dust the likes of Nozdormu, both nats, the beast .. Its very easy to see that these cards are not useful or unique and have MUCH better non legendary alternatives that are FAR superior.
When you just start the game and they are not being played or you do not think you will ever use them you do not judge on power level. It is difficult because 400 dust seems like a lot so please stop acting like you never make mistakes and realize you are human :)
When i was a new player i didnt make these mistakes. I had a background in MTG and had an understanding that just because something that is not played now doesnt mean it wont be played later and taking a 75% hit on value for dusting a legendary didnt really seem worth it to me. I just played the legendary anyway and made it work. Just keep grinding away and you will get the cards you want.
I am flesh and bone like everyone else, but i dont exactly think that something like this is rocket science. Failing on your first try is not something that happens with everything in one's life. If that is your experience, then that is unfortunate.

Yup. Disenchanting golden legendaries are a different category because you can then take the 1600 dust and craft a different legendary right away. Considering Golden is merely cosmetic, you lose nothing in terms of long term play-ability. Unless, of course, the legendary receives a nerf.. but that is a luxury.
Way back when, I disenchanted Malygos once and Lord Jaraxxus two times, then crafted him, then disenchanted him again. It still haunts me and keeps me up at night..
Black Knight was unusable not long ago, Cenarius too. Never in net decks. But expansions change everything, so esp if you're free to play (almost) never disenchant legends. Soon enough there will be too many cool net decks you can make with the cards you have, not too few.

I dusted all my wild only legendary cards. If I get golds I dust the normal's.

king krush, minions head, the beast, boulvar, gazlowe... these are the legendaries i DE, NO regrets so far,,,

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.

I've DEed Nozdormu 3 times, and I'll do it again if that jerk shows his face in yet another one of my packs.
It's subjective to size of collection and willingness to invest money.
The only advice I have is to NOT disenchant staple wild cards to craft standard cards now.
Way back when, I disenchanted Malygos once and Lord Jaraxxus two times, then crafted him, then disenchanted him again. It still haunts me and keeps me up at night..
