rank 5 and i see random tempo mage? how can u play a random deck to rank up? that deck is wonderful cuz is funny but really u put faith to rng to rank up? :S
RNG? I dont think so. Mana wrym and spells on curve to clear the board all the time and MAYBE in the end Yogg. I dont consider that RNG i consider that full remove the same as Control warrior,Zoo and Miracle. Working with 1 mana and full removes.Cya
what Rng? unstable portal mad scientist and flame cannon went away and if they have the dust arcane missiles get replaced by fire blast, the only rng left is flamewaker's effect.. and that's like half rng because no matter where they land the misisles always land in their opponent's board so they have anl impact anyways, it's not that warlock card that destroys minions from both players.
as for tome and summonner, not everyone runs tome, and faceless summoner gives you a Minion, it isn't a 50/50 of summoning a Minion in your board vs summoning it in your opponent's board..altho it'd be a cool card if it was Battlecry:summon a doomsayer in your opponent's side of the field xD
If the RNG in your deck has 50%+ chance to be in your favor, what's wrong with laddering with it ?
I Agreed, add this to my comment and u wil have the answer. Full remove+50% good RNG. You tell me waht tempo mage doesn't want to run this?. This is what im saiyng, this tempo Yogg can be stronger than Anton Tempo because exactly of this. U have the same removes but in the end u got Yogg that can sometimes be good AF. I mean if u have the same amout of cards that remove, wound't u like to try more value yet of they? I think this is the Mage choice today, why run Anton and keep depending on fireballs when u can "Re-use" all spells that u spended? (Read Re-use =Ramdom, but same Quantity)
yogg is my least favourite card ever, i don't mind rng but that's just stupid, it's too much, i lost to it and i won because of it, i'm not happy or having fun whatever the outcome is.
yeah..been watching him a while..hes making expert plays with an inferior deck right now and losing mostly...not that great of an idea betting ur legend rank on yogg
He was like 21-7 when ranking up to legend and around 28-11 later? Yogg is incredible when you are in a losing position and terrible when in a winning one.
RNG is looked at as negative so all those cards are stronger than they should be to make up for it. You can manipulate it in your favor and then add in your hero power if something doesn't go perfectly. It's not a deck for people that don't understand probability but it's one of my favorite decks to rank up with every month.
The only rng card that I don't like is spellslinger. I thought I would like that card more but it has just burned me too many times, so I don't run it.
Every play in every Hearthstone game is a calculated risk. If I play Ysera now then maybe my opponent kills her or Entombs her, and I lose. If I don't, I don't set up a finisher to bring him down before kills me, and I'm guaranteed to lose. So I play Ysera to bet on RNG that he did not draw a hard removal yet.
Those 10/90, 20/80, 30/70 ... 90/10 decisions are everywhere in Hearthstone. They are just more visible in tempo mage, and small things like an Arcane Missile that hit face instead of killing the remaining 1-health minion can snowball into deciding the game.
Tempo Mage is a controlled game of chance, as is much of Hearthstone in general.
Why do you think people played Dr. Boom? What made the card good/hard to play around wasn't the 7 mana for the 9/9 stats, but the two 1/1 mechs that potentially did 4 damage upon death.
yogg is my least favourite card ever, i don't mind rng but that's just stupid, it's too much, i lost to it and i won because of it, i'm not happy or having fun whatever the outcome is.
I do not see a problem with casino mage laddering as a whole. Although RNG based (hence the name) the pilot does have to make some important choices.
However, the inclusion of yogg makes this deck utter BS especially to lose too.
Heres how I see it. Cthun cards are not in arena because theyre meant for constructed play, ladder.
Yogg is yolo coin flip manifestation of pure F*CK YOU BUDDY. Why in the actual fuck is he allowed on ladder. Im not even one to take HS that seriously, but when I play ladder I kind of expect the match to well... kind of matter.
Whether Im winning or losing a last ditch effort like that should not decide the game.
Yogg would suck in arena. You can't reliably draft enough spells to make him work. He is a constructed card if I've ever seen one. I personally like him but from a competitive stand point he's not very good. I'll be rank 5+ or legend even in the next week and I'll be playing troll Yogg decks to get there. That card is so much fun.
its not that everyone gets salty, i was only curious, as control war i repeat that i won the most games vs mage, it was only a consideration!
Understood.
The deck is basically Casino mage with a Big Boy that have a better than average chance of giving you an advantage. Note that a lot of the youtube "Yogg killed me" games involved a person who would've lost with any other card other than deathwing. Thus they had nothing to lose by playing Yogg. And that's the point. Most games he either gives you SOMETHING that helps. Some games he rescues you from a match you would've otherwise lost in. Rarely does he ruin a game you would've won if you had played something else.
(unless you play him at fatigue with a good board.. or else you're Totalbiscuit)
Will it hold out long term? I don't think so. The decks used are still unrefined, though stabilizing, and I doubt a fully refined meta will still hold a place for Yogg compettiively . But even not it won't be a BAD deck so it'll still see use.
If it becomes a high end tournament deck ,though, I'll go buy a hat just to eat it.

ARE YOU FOR REAL?man what about the tome? and the conjurer? yogg saron? and the 6 cost that gives u random 3 cost minion? LOL

Wtf the whole game is full of RNG so who cares...every card you draw determined by RNG.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
is this question serious? the same way you rank with other decks.
