I believe I am very good on average so an 8, but it really depends.. I have reached legend the 4 seasons that I really wanted to without tryharding much(and with a gap of 1 year so in different metas). With some classes like warrior, shaman or druid I am a 9 or a 10 but with some others that don't fit my playstyle I suck big time, like Rogue or hunter and make a lot of missplays. I have an average of 7,7 wins on arena back when I used to play a lot..
Well Blizz say that rank 10 is top 9%, so if you make each option 10%, then anyone who gets above rank 10 should pick the top answer.
Its all about perception and relativity, also the more mistakes you are aware you make then the better player you are. Bad players think they don't make any mistakes.
Played for half a year and I'd say I'm about average(6) for some1 who plays almost daily. However I've kind of developed an aversion to ranked mode cos I get salty as hell when I lose there. so I usually just stop at rank 15-13. Recently I barely lose on ladder tho(also thanks to an improved collection), and this month I haven't lost yet climbing from 20-15, playing an average of one ranked game per 2-3 days; if that counts for something lol. The rest of my time I play arena(last five runs averaged 5 wins; pally/mage) and random decks on casual, where I run into cancer and meta decks 90% of the time.
I consider myself average. I'm reaching rank 5 with relative ease every season, and last season I nearly fluked into legend on a sick win streak (which I consider mostly luck) stopping on rank 1 3 stars. I still have a lot to learn about simple things such beatdown theory, tempo and value, as well as being better at stopping and consider optional plays during games (which too often go on autopilot). When I review, I find that I've made several misplays almost every game, some costing me wins.
Not surprising that most that frequent this kind of forum would consider themselves above average (which would lead to either average or good on this poll). But it depends a lot on what you consider average.
edit: Like many, I'm one of those guys who thinks they'd be able to get legend if they just put more time into the game. But I'm fully aware that I would have to improve my game while doing so.
It depends on what skills you are valuing....if deck-building and arena skills are valued highest I would put myself at 9 or at least 8, but if you value playing hard-to-play decks, such as Freeze Mage, Oil Rogue, Patron Warrior and other decks that require a lot of planning all the way from T1 regarding both what you play according to what you might draw as well as what your opponent is likely to play/have, the most, then I'm probably more like a 7...maybe an 8 if I became more active again so I got to know the meta a bit better.
I would assume the avg. player on Hearthpwn would be better than the avg. player in Hearthstone so probably 7.5 or smth on your scale would be the avg. for Hearthpwn users.

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
I gave myself a 9. Maybe a little cocky? But I do think I'm very good at every aspect of the game. I've made legend with homebrewed decks (and netdecks, of course). I've never cracked the top 100, but I have been very close, and I've finished the season in the top 300 a couple times. I average over 7.5 wins per arena run.
In spite of that, of course, I still catch myself making mistakes every single day. Maybe I should've said 8, I don't know. There's always room to grow!

the thing is that only somewhat ~1% of the players are reaching rank one. how can you only be 'average' if 99% of the players are on a lower rank than you? ^^

If you avg. above 7.5 wins in arena you are among the very best in the world^^ Even Kripp just barely avg. above 7 wins :P

With over 10 years of MTG expirience and playing Hearthstone since beta including legend rank and easy rank 5+ every season I would consider myself to be an 8.
If I focus and rly think about all the possible outcomes 9 since 10 is impossible. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time and even if you play the odds it can turn out to be a missplay in the end especially with all the RNG involved (and by that I dont mean topdeck or card draw)
Voted a 3. Maybe should give myself more credit (after 2 12 win arena runs, although usually go around .500 which I'm fine with) but given my constructed experience I can't bring myself to say anything higher. Feel like I've had several games give me PTSD, could go on long win streaks and some nights do but usually waste time hitting walls, I badly struggle playing meta and have proven to be incapable of reaching legend. So that's fair. Maybe a coach would help...

I'm actually at like 7.7 average over my last ~30 runs, but I figured if I said that nobody would believe me, haha. I guess you don't believe me anyway! I don't think that's my "true" average (I've been lucky lately) but I do think the "true" one should be close to 7.5.
I always play on mobile so I frequently multitask during games.
I have the experience to be like a 7 or 8 but most of the time it's like a 3 or 4 since my average game of hearthstone takes place while I'm also doing homework and eating lunch.
Fortunately I can main secrets paladin and still make gains on the ranked ladder. Yes, it's kinda awful but who has time for thinking these days anyway? :P

"Hello. Would you like to destroy some evil today?"
Well here's the thing, it's not HARD to be good at this game. But sometimes you don't get the cards you need, and your opponent does. You can play perfectly and still lose, because skill is such a small part of this game.

That's impressive if it's true! :) I consider myself a very good arena player, but my avg. is only 6.22 :P
What is your best class? It says Shaman for me, but Priest, Rogue, Paladin and Mage are all pretty close...I'd say Paladin or Rogue would be my most consistently strong classes atm, but Priest was clearly my strongest class while Mage was on top...I remember having over 7 wins avg. with Priest for a long time :P
Since I made the Heartharena account I've probably played about 30 arena runs that I haven't registered...not always I bother with it and sometimes I forget to register results if I didn't use heartharena for the draft.

Well, i would say that if someone likes the game enough to make an account on this site, it's because they are willing to learn about the game, and consume a lot of information about it, therefore they are(or think they are) better than average.

I only think I'm better than average because the average skews so low. ;_;
I would say I'm an 8. I've played since the beginning, and also have a lot of experience playing MTG competitively. I've never bothered to put in the work to grind to legend, but I usually can get to rank 5 every season without much trouble. I do tend to misplay occasionally when playing more complicated decks like reno lock, partially because I usually multi-task while playing ranked HS. I'm probably a better arena player though, my average is around 7 and can regularly get 10+ wins.

Constructed: I usually get rank 5 to get the golden epic with few problems. I tried to go for legend once but when I peaked at rank 2 i just gave up.
Arena: I don't know my average win rate, but I regularly go 7+ and combined with my quests I gain money from arena.
I gave myself a 6.

I don't mind describing myself as average - but you have to wonder at the morale/self-esteem of anyone who voted themselves lower than that.
I play for fun. I don't rank very high.

9 at constructed with the average/boring decks :D
7 at constructed with more compicated decks such as the Patron Warrior
and also a 7 in arena
