I played hearthstone daily for the past two years. It is really an awesome game. Somehow, I always found it really hard to get all the cards of a set. That leads me to my question; What's the easiest way to earn all the cards without paying for them?
Make the best deck you can with what you've got and play every day. Between dailies and free TBrawl packs you can get tons of stuff quickly, but until you can consistently win 6+ games per run in Arena you should save your gold for adventures and packs.
If you are good at arena you can keep playing it forever (with the added gold from dailies and some ranked/unranked gold). If you play a lot, lets say you average 6-7 wins in arena then you can probably do around 10-15 arena runs a day if you have a free afternoon. That's 10-15 packs + dust + bonus cards + maybe if you had really good runs some extra gold you can spend on packs.
What I usually do at expansion releases is that I hoard a couple thousand gold then play arena basically until I'm bored of it then spend the rest of my gold on packs then go play ranked. I usually get 100-150 packs in the first 2 weeks. That should be more then enough dust / cards to make whatever deck you want.
you can also log in on 4 different devices iphone/ipad/android phone/android tablet to get a classic pack each time. also do the galaxy s6 promo for 3 packs. these are of course non repeatable but evey little bit helps.
Just thought of something obvious: start a 2nd account. I've got one that I've put 2 years and about $80 into and another that's 100% f2p. If you play every day for dailies and focus on only 3-5 classes with each account you can get enough cards to play almost any deck.
But if you're after a complete collection obviously the quickest way is to buy TONS of packs. I'm actually surprised Blizzard hasn't said that the odds of getting goldens and ldgrys improve if you pay with real money. (verification needed, just a theory I'm sticking with, along with my other assumption that RNG slightly favors less experienced players, as it should)
Adventure will net you more card than buying pack, but because it is no RNG it is no fun. I played for 3 month only and already have a deck that reach rank 6 this season + 2000 dust. I'm low on gold though since I lost too much arena (3 win average) but I think a veteran like you can win more and really have profit doing that.
To give you an idea how long it can take. After 1 1/2 years of mainly playing just dailies, i decided to go for a full collection. It took me 9 month in which i played over 250 arena runs with an average win rate of 6,1 - 6,2 and i spent 300 Euro. So if you really don't want to spent money and if you played almost the same way as i did in the beginning, it will take you a really long time if you don't increase your win rate to 7+ wins. When your win rate is not high enough to actually gain gold, then you should really consider to buy adventures with money. Because with that gold which you would lose you could play 80-100 arena runs if you average 6 wins.

By subscribing to tempostorm dot com.Never letting your quest log to "overflow" racks up a lot of gold in time. The arena is excellent too but only if you are good at it.
And then there is the credit card.

If you are a completionist, credit card is pretty much the only way, unless you are an infinite arena player.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
