between 2 expansion I would like to see a balance patch. I believe 2 month is enough to gather data and balance patch will give us the feel of a mini expansion due to the meta shifting.
I think this card solve the only problem that mage always have:their best boardclear cost 7 mana so they can't make any proactive play on the same turn. This card is like fireland portal in the sense that it clear some thing and put a decent body on board, For a legendary this may not a mustcraft but in general it is a strong card.
There is one way to be f2p in hearthstone. Become inffinitely arena player. If you can do 1 7+ win arena a day you will be able to craft 80%+ card in the game each expansion, will be even more if you can play 2-3 arena per day( but you want to play ladder too so 1 a day is perfect)
It come in turn 7, which is 1 turn after Mysterious challenger so it doesn't need to have a flashy stat. +5/+5 to a Tirion or even a Ragnaros against class that can't deal with big stuff like Druid is very good. I assume this card alone will make Druid player tech BGH or even owl again.
Mysterious challenger with put noble sacrify and redemtion so Protector pottentially can give 2 divine shield on curve . Also 7 mana mean it fix the gap between Dr.6 and Tirion. I think this card pottentially can help secret paladin a bit.
I also never legend but because I don't want to waste time in constructed while I can arena (f2p things). I normally play control deck, but once a while I open my EU account, craft some f2p shaman, and grind to rank 5 in 1 day (from 25 - prenerf though). It is a lot faster than any wallet deck in my main account so I recommend you to net a Shaman deck and try for legend this season.
I'd say craft Rag, because he is a card that you can tech in any deck and it still at least ok (I think C'thun Druid and ramp Druid list may have place for him). Still Rag is on low tier 2 so unless you have all the tier 1 Druid legendary like Yogg-Saron, Fandram or Thalmos, don't waste your dust.
C'thun Warrior and Tempo mage doesn't need LOE. Midrange hunter doesnt need that much (only camel). Ofc if you can buy it it really improve a lot of deck but for a f2p player I recommended you to only buy the newest adventure and use the rest gold for arena or pack to grind dust or just save it for the next expansion which maybe release after Blizzcon.
There is many win condition such as double call of the wild, double doomguard, lerroy combo, Yogg, Nzoth... Iceblock is just one of them and it only see play in Freeze Mage. The strongest Mage card atm is Flamewaker.
If you ever want to play any paladin that not face/aggro Tirion is a must. Hunter is cheaper and you don't need N'zoth in Hunter because the natural plan to play hunter is win on turn 8 or 9, not turn 10+.

Priest is hard counter to Shaman. They lose to almost everything else though so if you play Priest you only want to face shaman.

2500 gold, 1200 dust. With my arena winrate I can grind dust without losing gold though (sadly I'm not good enough to grind gold).

Paladin: 1st class I play, my 1st 1k dust deck, my 1st rank 5 deck, my 1st control deck.
Druid. Ramp is my favourite mechanic, and Fandram is my favourite legendary.
Warrior: Very comfortable playing under any situation. Probably the best control class in the game.
