Made some good progress yesterday and today, already to rank 7. Midrange-ish tempo Mage is destroying everything (Water Elementals are so good right now). I haven't had too much time to play but hopefully I'll be around rank 3 by tomorrow.
So this month I'm really set on pushing for legend. I've mostly been maining a Reno-mage and my Reno-warrior. Wish me luck!

I'll just hit rank 5 with any deck that I feel like playing on a daily basis. Right now, I'm loving me some experiments. I've been playing a tempo oriented mech paladin that runs all the deathrattle mechs that summon another minion alongside with 2x redemption. Also, Kel'Thuzad. I'm also kicking some Mill Druid, Battlecry Shaman and maybe some Grinder Mage, im not sure yet.

Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will send me spiralling into crippling depression.
zoo is strong, lol. I am at rank 5 (68% winrate) now with zoo.
It's absolute trash. unfavoured 45% against control warrior (according to clownstrom)..
had a bit to drink last night and found myself playing 22 games with an aggro zoo last night. Went 15-7 and at one point I was on a 10 winstreak before hitting rank 11 and going 50% for the rest of my games. I beat all 4 Warriors I came up against. The only class I struggled against was Paladin, but not really a big sample set.
Going through most of my zoo decks I have a decent winrate with most of the decks. The thing about zoo is that it is a consistent 50% deck against most other archetypes and that lends itself to very good laddering even though it is a little slower than face shaman or hunter on a per game basis.
Another issue is that the rise in zoo over the last few months has created a dozen different "legend" tier deck and I think a good old fashioned demon zoo or aggro zoo is the best way to go vs. the gormok/leeroy/sea giant shenanigans.
Was down to 19 with Rogue and started Patron and now at Rank 10. My goal is to hit Rank 5 by the 10th. After about 100 games with Patron, I've figured the deck out and my win rate is crazy. It also helps there's zero control on the ladder.
I just need to grind more, and not waste so much time on twitch and this forum. Between my job and cycling (I'd get fat if I didn't exercise) I don't have a lot of spare time.

It's absolute trash. unfavoured 45% against control warrior (according to clownstrom)... more like unfavoured about 10-20% vs control warrior... it can never win. I should just stop quoting that site because it has absolutely zero credibility in it's rankings and meta snapshot at this point, which is just completely made up to make it look like the site actually has content.
Playing zoo is basically like hitting the concede button at the start of turn 1 for every match.. it's probably even more effective than that because there's always a chance you might misclick with that method, but with zoo you will lose every time without fail. I absolutely maintain that is one, if not the single worst deck in the entire game. A deck with no strengths but weak to absolutely everything.
I took a couple of days off after last season. I have played 4-5 games with that shitty zoo deck and I already feel depressed and like I don't want to play again. Auto-losing matches because your deck is utter trash against every other archetype and meta deck out there is pretty unfun.
Oh my god. Stop complaining. If you don't like zoo, don't play it.
It requires skill to play zoo, and to play the deck 4-5 times a day is not nearly enough. Zoo is all about to play sticky minions, buff them up, drop sea giant, trade efficiently, and win the game. If you want to play midrange paladin.. then go and play midrange paladin.
Unless the opponent draw perfectly, there is no unfavoured matchups (unless control priest).
I did not find any motivation to climb last season: the announcement that the xpac would come so late killed my enthusiasm. I ended up arena'ing most of the season and happily wasting some of the stacked-up gold for WotOG.
But I'm having fun again this season in ranked, thanks to some random dino-rogue deck with double argent commander. Climbing steadily, if I reach rank 5 early I might even try to get serious, either with my usual mid-shaman or some combo druid. I hear everywhere that zoo works fine but I never ever get a good winrate with it (and that is a statement that's been holding true since before nax).

I'm quite aware of how its "meant" to work, I was pointing out that it doesn't.
Of course I have played it more that 4-5 times. I've played it hundreds of times. It's just that 4-5 games yesterday were enough to remind me of what a dumpster tier deck it is and why it started me raging in this thread many months ago in the first place.
The only version that's ever had a hope of working is the demon version, and that is stone dead in the next month so it's either trash zoo or no zoo at all.
I haven't played much this season, so I'm only rank 17, but I played a couple of games with zoo now. Went from rank 17 to 13 with one loss. Beat aggro paladin, secret pala, midrange paladin, combo druid, control warrior and face hunter. Lost to one aggro paladin with insane draw. I know the rank is bad, but it gives an example that zoo is not that bad after all.

I dunno, Zoo is solid. I think the last 2 seasons people hit #1 legend with it, its much better than Face Hunter or Aggro Shaman.
Rank 5 with zoo deck.
Trying to get Sea Giant ..... never opened any giant.. :/

Why am I able to make it work then?

Oh yes Raptor rogue, i dono why, I prefer the term dino. I should revise my policy if I am to be understood in public :)
What's the feasibility of renolock in the current meta?
