Am new at making custom cards but think a new version of Illidan would be great. This might be too op with the current warlock meta but it fits Illidans lore and is a good tech against warlock as well
Let me know what you think and if anything needs changing
This is unfair as shit, dude. Warlocks, as the only demon users, don't deserve to have neutral cards that tech THIS hard vs them. Black Knight and Skulking Geist are fair neutral techs because every class uses taunts and 1-drops.
It's great against Warlock, but it's also broken IN Warlock. The issue is, like Skulking Geist, it might cost too much or have too crappy stats to be played properly. That's the issue with these cards; they can't be too strong otherwise the deck that the card counters is ruined immediately, but they can't be too weak, or well, Skulking Geist happens (statistically, this card is used more against Inner Fire priest now than Jade Druid, which is what it was made for).
Few other notes:
- Few grammar mistakes (add punctuation)
- Costs too much (6 or even 5 would be better)
- Can't be a classic card (It's a reformed version of a classic)
- Can't be a reworked version (Completely changes the concept, so it should be a different card altogether)
EDIT: Illidan was NOT the deceiver, he was the Betrayer. Kil'Jaeden was the Deceiver.
I'd prefer Battlecry: Silence a minion and destroy it if it's a demon.
That's actually better than what I put on the card, would that require a stat change on Illidan? He was supposed to become more powerful after killing a demon
It should cost 5 mana with such description, because of it has a low chance to destroy a demon, better "get +1/+1 for each demon on table" or for each died demon
Yeah it would be better for people who are playing the card and it would be nightmare for those who play against it. This is obviously a late game card and it would usually be saved for bigger demons, if this lands on Void Lord, congrats you have 7 mana 7/14 that succesfully removed one threat from the board. Even if it lands on something small like Flame Imp it's still 7 mana 7/7 that removed one threat from the board. It dosen't need to cost less. Furthermore this card would never work in the game, it's a very specific tech card and they never wrok as well as we hope.
This is literally my second attempt at making a card and the other one is even more broken XD but I want to try and get it down so I can make some balanced cards that would work in the game and not just super op cards. Illidan deserves better though and mine might not be the answer but we do need a new one, especially if this new set is all druidy.
All tips and advice and constructive criticism welcome

That's exactly my point. Its cost may not be too high, but it's stats are so mediocre that it probably doesn't matter if you land it on anything but a Voidlord. Besides, it's a one use-one target thing, therefore it will only be used to push face damage. It's pointless to waste turn 7 getting rid of your opponent's Doomguard for a 7 cost 9/12, because not only does Warlock have hard removal, silence is a big part of the K&C meta. You know why Skulking Geist wasn't played? It's a 6 cost 4/5 'counter' to jades that didn't even remove their win condition. You got rid of four Jade Idols? Great! It's not like they can still build them up to a 7/7. Skulking Geist has no value at its cost and stats, so it wasn't played; and yes, this card can make board presence, but silence and hard removal are everywhere. That's the biggest issue, this card can only be used to push face damage against a Voidlord, and you have 3 3 attack minions to take you the Voidwalkers.
P.s. It's a neutral card too. That means warlock can also utilise its effect, to a much, much more powerful extent. It really says something when a card meant to counter a deck actually helps them more.
EDIT: To the creator, I'm not saying it's a bad card. The idea is there, but the balance isn't (also, the lore is incorrect too).

With stat change will be imba. Maybe 10 cost then.

Haha that's ok everyone has to start somewhere and I will get better with the balance. It's been a long time since I was invested in the lore so god knows what has happened to all of these characters since I was. What is incorrect about it? probably everything XD
I don't know wether you should be able to class him as a Demon because he has never been actually clarified as a demon in the Lore. Perhaps half Demon but also half night elf right?

Yea I was thinking if the demon tag wasn't there it would be not as good in a warlock deck and better against them, but it is on the original card so I assumed it was a given that he was a demon now. As stated above my lore knowledge is very outdated. maybe I will brush up for the afternoon.

To be fair to you, if it's on the original card I can see why you kept it.

You also forgot to add 'battlecry' to its ability. Also isn't Kil Jaeden the Deceiver, isn't Illidanbthe Betrayer?

Ok so I have done 2 versions of this after reading the comments and seeing what you think the card should say ect.
As suggested by @burning_LEGION
And
And this one by @Spera and @Skelos_bg
Also I cannot believe I got the titles mixed up haha
He should be broken as hell. He is Illidan and we are not prepaired lol XD
