LOL people saying its a good thing when it dies to BGH because it baits it out??? That's still a 9 mana tempo swing for your opponent and your Drakonid did absolutely nothing when it hit the field. That means when you play your Rag, or Dr Boom you will be farther behind and the answers will be much easier for your opponent. Anytime BGH gets value it's a huge win for your opponent, so I'd rather make my BGH targets do something amazing when they hit the field so that the tempo loss isn't as drastic if they do get BGH-ed. I don't see this making the cut in constructed. Very nice in arena though.
So you need to use Alexstrasza on turn 9, Pray that the enemy don't have a single heal-point (so useless against priest), then need to use 6 mana for a 9/9 when you already have the enemy on low health only to kill the enemy maybe on the next turn.
Too conditional. 6/6 for 6 is not bad but there are stronger cards. Especially since Piloted Sky Golem receive a HUGE Buff with BRM and is far stickier. Even if it has 9/9, at 6 mana you need minions that have an additional strong effect. Sylvanas still owns this card pretty hard.
Getting a 9/9 when you are already winning does not change anything.
1 copy of this in an aggro deck would be decent. Considering face hunters sometimes run a Boom as their single late game fallback. Can be a decent replacement if you're card limited.
Might be a 1 of card that you'll see pop up a bunch especially considering how little silences there currently are the amount of removal this would eat.
Man, if mountain/molten giant was announced this expansion people would say they were terrible because they're susceptible to BGH, jesus christ, it's ONE card, that people run ONE of. You're already running dr boom, it can't kill everything of yours.
The issue is that people look at every card in a vacuum, never considering that these cards can potentially be run in decks with 4-5 BGH targets. With that said, I don't know about this card, a 6/6 for 6 isn't bad, but it just seems outclassed by a bunch of other 6 drops. It's ability doesn't seem like it'll win you many games you weren't winning already, so it's viability will hinge primarily on how it fits in a dragon themed deck imo.
I hope I'm wrong, I really want a dragon deck to become a thing.
I just don't see this card replacing any of the other 6 drops in any of the current decks right now. On top of that, the whole "dragon synergy" doesn't appear to be stellar with the revealed cards. Until we see some nice neutral (or possibly class-specific) dragons, I'm really questioning the viability of this dragon archetype.
this guy fits some spell-burst decks. like turn 6 play him, when opponent has about 18-20 hp. if this guy survives you next turn, kick face with some spells (like fireball+frost bolt, or lava+crackle) to reduce him for 9 and finish with drakonid. and for sure charge warriors will love him for some otk possibilities
Handlocks are sad. When they're at 16/17 Health they have to decide whether to Tap and face a 9/9 or not tap and play with what they have.
Handlock is imo the perfect example why this card won't work; You know when I'm sad as a Handlock? When I need to play my giants for 6 mana. This thing is basically a much more conditional giant that ALWAYS costs 6 mana.
Why everyone looks at this for a handlock deck? By turn 6 you have already delved throuh 10 cards of your deck (even more if you are actively drawing cards).
Put two copies of this in your deck and you have a nice chance of dropping it to the table by that time. If you are playing aggro you may have your oponent at 15 life in that moment, forcing her to deal with your previous minions and the new 9/9 you just summoned, just in case she was having any doubt on who is leading the game...
I think it is a perfect fit for those aggro decks all around. I see it as a more plausible fit than the hunter card, that forces you to empty your hand to get the value, something that you don't usually by turn 4-5 in hunter decks.
I think this is a good counter to BGH. imagine turn 6 Drakonid Crusher. The guy your playing burns his BGH and we all know only 1 are being thrown in decks right now. Turn Dr. Balanced(Dr. Boom) cleans house. GG's boys and gals
Above average for arena. You would be really sad if you had to play this as a 6/6 and your opponent dropped a Boulderfist. But if you can play it as a 9/9 it will always be relevant. However if you can play it as a 9/9 you are probably already in a good spot.
This card is like a T1 pick in Arena, what a game breaking top deck ...

combo with Alexstrasza
can only see 1 being run, in warrior decks.
the dragon archetype still lacks a card that really makes it feel like it's going to stick as card as mech did

Handlocks, meet your new foe!

6,5 / 10
If only this were a 5/5 for 5, it'd be soooo much better.
It's a shame, but this is pretty outclassed by Piloted Sky Golem, on the whole.

T9 Alex. T10 Drakonid Crusher, T11 Attack... seems a bit slow to me, but let´s see. As Alex is also a Dragon, it is an obvious combo.
A Drakonid is NOT a Dragon (neither is a Drake...).

Greatness, at any cost.
Dude its battlecry not a triggered skill.

But only seems playable in midrange decks
Above average for arena. You would be really sad if you had to play this as a 6/6 and your opponent dropped a Boulderfist. But if you can play it as a 9/9 it will always be relevant. However if you can play it as a 9/9 you are probably already in a good spot.
Finally some nice common higher cost minion for arena atleast for classes with ping hero power.
