The versatility of this is striking. People saying Sylvanas is better aren't considering that they're useful in different situations. Pulling BGH on a 6 mana card is fantastic for control decks. Aggro decks just lost their only big minion. Of course it's worth considering that one could run two of these fellas.
It's not unreasonable to play this on curve for a 6/6, or topdeck lategame into a 9/9. I think this card is actually very good. It's not exclusively win-more for that reason. Sylvanas provides catchup mechanics, which is great when you're behind, which is often the case on turn 6 for control. This card is just straight up board presence with some solid versatility. I really like it.
The difference between a 6/6 and a 9/9 doesn't seem all that significant. Both are most likely to trade with two mid-game creatures or get hard-removed. I love the idea of holding this guy to activate "Dragon in Hand" effects, but it's still a dead card for most of the match. I don't think dropping a 9/9 for 6 makes a better finisher than already exists for the last turns of a game, it's just not very proactive and can't be comboed with many game-clinching creatures or spells. Very strong arena card, though.
Hearthstone cards have prooved numerous times that stats are overrated, only direct, innevitable influence on the game works. Big stats just challenge opponent to have an answer, giving you no choice but to hope. This is one of the reasons why Sylvanas is so good. Despite not being a 6/7, she is more of a one man army cards than any other.
Just a big monsterous minion....like Boulderfist or Temple enforcer or Dread infernal.....But easily becomes a 9/9...., it's not a weak battlecry like enforcer.
No. 15 HP is really far away from wining if you don't play face hunter or have a huge board. Most of the time 15 HP is were people stabilize against aggro and mid range or control.
2. is it bad because BGH?
No? Unless people start running 2 BGH and Pandas that's a card I would be happy to get BGHed. Follow it up with Boom and Rag.
This card probably will see in mid range, I could see it in mid range hunter.
Trying to come up with a good counter in my head for all these massive bodies joining the meta. BRM is going to shake things up qutie a bit and I can dig it, go Bliz!
I suppose if Alexstraza is killed by BGH you then have this card as a follow up?with 4 mana to spare to put even more pressure on with.
Still not convinced this is a good card but it could have uses in some situations. Also its a good card for people with smaller collections that dont include sylvanas or other top tier 6 drops, so the adventure is a good pickup for new players.
this card is huge.... turn 6 9/9? waste your bgh and my dr boom is waiting for you on turn 7. if this card is played on curve and get its effect its pretty amazing. if not is not that bad 6/6 are solid stats. both common dragons today were amazing
Dragonkin (aka dragon type) are all creatures descended from and including dragons.
^Taken from WoW wiki.
So technically, if we take the Dragon under a card to mean 'dragon type' , then even draongkin can be considered dragons, since they are descended from them.

Think about that again.

other way around.. its a battlecry, straza gotta be played first..

Pretty good in arena, horrendous in constructed. There's no purpose for it.
Obviously good with Alexstrasza but this is one of the cards that fit into the 'you're probably already winning' category.
Not much good if you're fighting on the defensive. decent pick for arena tho
Illidan Stormrage

"The light shall burn you!" - heals face.
This card is a common?! RIP Boulderfist Ogre.
Of course I'm referring to arena, as far as constructed, maybe if the dragon synergy is powerful enough it could see play, otherwise I don't think so.
I hate this lazy design. -_-
6/6 for 6 is slightly below vanilla but with a huge situational upside. 9/9 for 6 is really good.
Solid card but nothing too exciting.
9/9 stat is more of a penalty than a reward in current BGH meta. 6 mana 6/6 body is till very solid though.
Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

Solid stats for a solid card. Win win. Dragon Druid is a thing now, and I'm going to play it.

If you can't beat them, join them
^ this guy right here knows whats up
If you can't beat them, join them
Actually humanoid dragons fall under dragonkin in most RPG settings.
