I have golden Raid the Sky Temple. It's been months trying to make it work in a deck, but they simply can't win consistently. Should I disenchant it or wait for the next expansion? It's worth 1600 dust though.
personally raid the sky temple is actually sort of made redundant by reno from galak awakens
no requirement no mana requirement no quest requirement meaning your top decks to find early solutions to boards are easier
reno the hero card casts a random spell not just in mage per turn for 0 mana of course it's not as targetted but the plus side is you can spend 10 mana instead of always being on 8 with the -2 discount... BUT wait u get it back no u can't use ALEXtrasa and other nine drops at the same turn which some decks need
just explaining the mechanics and also however issues with it and yeah i still wouldn't disenchant it cuz i have heaps of gold and dust i'm not sure what everyone's situation is i keep all my wild cards and i'm a wild player so up to u
I know that even No-minion Mage decks which were popular in early April quickly cut the card as the value it creates is very dubious given random is significantly worse than discover. There is a very slight chance that Blizzard might decide to actually change it (buff it) to become 'Discover a Mage Spell' (without the discount), in which case it will probably become a very good card. So I'd say keep it for now
I use it in my mage deck which is all around discovering and randomly generating things as well as a load of secrets. I fully accept that it isn't a competitive card or deck but due to star bonuses I can still climb to diamond with it. Personally I think its a super fun card and I've comfortably used this mage deck than any other deck since I started playing, which was somewhere around KoFT.
If you don't want to mess about with less competitive decks though and you need a legendary or several cards for a different, more ladder climbing friendly deck, then seeing as it's golden it may well be worth the dust. Maybe worth just hanging fire until the cards for next months expansion are revealed, just on the off chance that mage gets some cards that make that sort of deck more competitive. I doubt it but we're so late into this cycle now that unless you're desperately wanting to craft something, it's probably worth at least holding fire for a few weeks.
It's a tough call, I'd say weigh the pros and cons.
Pros (to disenchant):
It's a rarely used card in the current standard meta
It's golden so its equal to a legendary card of your choice
It already exhausted more than half it's lifespan
I don't think it's (currently) an essential card in wild meta
Cons:
There are 2 expansions left. It might become a strong card, but we don't know at this point.
With the new system, if you dust the card, you can never unpack it again until you get all legionaries from the set. This fact can be a good or bad thing.
Hurts your collection if you are a collector
Bottom line it's your call. If you don't urgently need the 1600 dust, I'd say hold on to it for now. If 1600 dust is the only thing missing from you crafting a must have deck, then dust it.
I wish they wouldn't make the discount disappear if they would change it to discover. Then it would actually could be really fun and worthy running even in wild for value and fun.

simple questions require simple answers: ALWAYS KEEP LEGENDARIES .. NEVER DISENCHANT THEM
It's a tough call, I'd say weigh the pros and cons.

Yes you should, I would if I could
Dead but dreaming
yes disenchant every card you dont use... then you can use the dust to create cards you can use and get legend
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
i always disentchant terrible legendaries. why should i keep them, if they are completely useless?
