This is PERFECT for Healadin. One of Healdin's biggest problems is, believe it or not, taking damage. Fun cards like Blackguard and Pearl Spellstone are useless in control matchups where the other side isn't pounding you every turn. I've tried to solve the issue by adding cards like Bittertide Hydra and Bomb Squad, but they're a liability in against aggro.
This card is great against aggro, and has self damage!
Now this is cool design: A great value card with a never-before-seen downside.
Ideally, I would want to summon it without triggering its battlecry, or play it so it prevents more damage to my hero than it causes. This could singlehandedly shut out many aggro decks unless they have a way to get around it.
If Blizzard somehow manages to give Hunters a card that resurrects a dead beast Taunt minion, Control Hunter will be a viable deck. Emeriss might see play...
@Sillyraptor (I really want to start the sentence with "Oh Silly Raptor") They announced that no new beasts will be added to DK's pool of beasts, I may be mistaken, this one would be awfully broken though
I dunno, I feel like this card is printed purely as an answer to Call To Arms, why not just nerf it rather than nuking all aggro dream to oblivion? And I say this as someone who normally likes to dump on aggro.
The target player base plays decks that do not support aggro. You can't expect the game maker to support a niche market for the sake of product integrity. In other words, HS is more of a profit vehicle than an actual game.
This is also why the Hunter DK will never be updated with new beasts, they 'intend' to, it's just at the very back of the backlog in terms of priority.
Now, in an aggro meta, this card would be fantastic, but we're in Warlockstone right now, so it's a 5 mana 3/4. It will see play after Warlock inevitably gets Blizzard Nerfed.
This + oasis snapjaw = 9 mana 5/19 zombeast that is at worst 5/9 zombeast. Op.
Except they won't be adding the new beasts. It's been the perpetual carrot on a string, always coming 'soon'
Actually they announced that would add new beasts at the the rexxar pool. But I don't about this one, look like king of the beasts that were intentionally never putted in
Playable. Decent tech against hand dump decks. Maybe cheating shenanigans work with it also. Too unreliable to go in any deck. Turn 5 is too late to stop aggro most of the time
Wiching Hour synergy. This card is clearly awful vs control but it's very good vs aggro decks. By turn 5 the typical aggro deck will only have around 2-4 cards in hand. So vs aggro this is a 3/10 taunt for 5 mana which is pretty good.
In an aggro meta this is such a great card. Against control, not so much. Quite frankly, it's very well designed - it's a tech choice that's fantastic when chosen appropriately, and pretty darn underwhelming when not (think cards like The Black Knight and Harrison Jones - great when they hit their mark, below average otherwise).
Very powerful card against aggro at first glance. A Voidlord Lite. But Paladin will probably just run double Equality + double Dark Conviction and just remove it with a sword swing.
Has incredible synergy with Master Oakheart and Lady in White (but probably not both at once). Might be interesting to see if a competitive deck comes out with either of them.
Can it be healed? Or does it lose its stats?

I can already see the Taunt Druid Resident Sleeper Meta

Will win games in a top deck mode Arena game.
Great in many control decks.
Great basic design.
Great card overall.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Anybody know if this card will be played with damage dealt to itself like Injured Blademaster?
Or does the new hp become the max hp?
If this can be healed back to 12 hp with cards like circle of healing its really busted.
Really good with recruit effects like Kathrena
Yeah I missread it. Still pretty strong...

Carpe Diem - Seize the day
My guess the grizzly will come with a -hp debuff, if silenced, its max hp will be back to 12 but current hp stay where it was before the silence.

I love this card. I think it is exactly what my Kathrena hunter deck is missing.
