The new cards bring really good late game to Mage, which it struggled with. Instead Mage had to use Yogg, which can be really unreliable. But now with Medivh, you get a less RNG win condition. Arcane Golem is a nice 8/8 that you can get for 3 or 4 mana easily in the late game. Medivh's Valet is also very powerful but it only fits in Freeze Mage.
Will Tempo Mage become a slower but more reliable deck? Will Tempo Mage use secrets to get value from Medivh's Valet? Will Freeze Mage be back in the meta?
the problem of Medivh vs yogg is that yogg's effect is completely instant, there will be sometimes ..many times when you can't just simply drop medivh and play a spell next turn, while yogg can come, screw someone's plans around, usually your opponent's then happily sudoku itself, also, medivh needs the fuel in your hand while yogg has like this internal buffer where he gets permanent fuel.
