I really dont think it matters much that you start with the quest in your starting hand. The problem imho is that almost every single deck has cost reduction to 0 and absurd amount of card draw.
Remove Auctioneer from Standard Make "reduce the cost of all cards in your hand/deck by x" unable to reduce cards to 0 mana Change Health Cost to not be damage, basically the same way it works in MTG
Maybe change the cost of quest rewards minions to 6 or 7 Mana
Im saying this is a Quest Lock player, played ~10 games yesterday won 3 on turn 6, never reached 10 Mana Crystals in any game, its just not fun.

I agree with you. Health costed cards shouldn't damage to heroes.
Demon Hunter quest might not be quite as easy but sitting watching someone draw their whole deck over 5 turns is one of the most disheartening things I’ve seen in HS. Why the game has suddenly become about drawing your whole deck as quickly as possible I don’t know.

The most broken part about the DH quest is that realistically you don't even care about completing it, the discounts from the first 2 steps are good enough for you to even care about playing Kurthus at the end. There have been games when I even burn the kurthus cause all the cards I'm drawing and it doesn't matter cause I have lethat for next turn anyways. On a mirror yesterday my opponent got the nuts and completed the quest super fast while I was barely drawing and I was only able to complete step 2 barely. Thing is that with that I got lucky and discounted most combo pieces and while my opponent was doing dumb shit and playing his kurthus I just OTK'd him on turn 7.

The otk where you don’t even need your opponent to have a board is just kicking you in the balls while you’re down.
If other classes like Priest wants to be competitive, all they need is to be allowed for mana cheating and card draw....
Imagine Shadow Priest are given cards that allow to reduce cards mana cost on hand or deck when they play or hold Shadow Spells.... just like Elemental Shaman....

Its early in the expansion and there is a lot of decks around. So far i think that some quests are just to easy to complete.
Warlock
Hunter
Mage
Pirate
Especially Warlock...they usually finish the quest on turn 4...
Also the rewards are very powerful. If you can play them on turn 5 without dying until your next turn you always win on turn 6....
Mage and Warlock questlines are much more easier to complete than Hunter and Warrior.
The other problem is that you literally get the OTK piece in your starting hand.
"Minion to minion the basic of all combats, only a fool trusts his win to an OTK"

as long as this expansion is part of Standard, there’s no reason to NOT play these quests

Card mana costs should never be reduced to 0 in general. 1 is the lowest cost.
The problem is mana cheating and card draw.
it was bad enough when it was just rogue and DH, now its everyone
