Aggro Tempo mage was my go to anti-kingsbane. But with the nerf to Mana Worm I been reluctant to play it, I just can't think of a good replacement for mana worm, but maybe it's still good enough. I was even considering putting in zombie chows back in for a strong 1 drop but it's deathrattle seems counterintuitive on what I'm trying to achieve and they suck to draw late game.
I haven't played it much lately, but prior to BDP release I was playing some old fashioned C'Thun Warrior for fun and I don't think I lost to a single Kingsbane Rogue I came across as long as I didn't mill C'Thun. I especially loved when my opponent would Vanish all my Battlecry Cthun buffing minions to my hand. Pretty sure a couple matches against them I played a C'Thun over 30/30 and with their lack of minions and not quite full health it was an easy OTK by playing him.
Not sure how the deck does in general, but I love C'Thun decks because they are fun. And at least in my case, it handled the pesky Kingsbane Rogues.
I'm honestly shocked by that statement lol. I mean as long as I didn't mill C'Thun.. Well that's exactly the problem, from the sheer amount of games I've played against Kingsbane Rogue I can with ease tell you that you'll mill C'Thun atleast every second time you face them lol. And if you didn't/don't you're fortunate as hell!
There is actually a way to not mill him: mulligan hard for him. If you know that you will be probably milled, why even bother not to draw C'thun?

C’Thun Warrior is trash against it. I’d say that’s probably the deck I’ve played more than any other in the game, and it’s always been weak against mill bounce.
I know you are probably looking for a serious deck, which can counter the Kingsbane rogue one, but I will mention thief priest. It's really fun and it can deal with other annoying decks (like Big Priest).
The only weakness I have is dealing with aggro decks, but maybe this is because I made my deck too greedy. Against kingsbane rogue I just steal their weapon. I run an Ooze. I wait until they have 1 or 0 cards in the deck, I ooze the dagger and steal it. I also have archbishop benedictus and Amara, which help me survive their fatigue and hit strategy.
It's a fun deck. I recommend it to everyone, who wants to have a more casual experience.
[edit] Back when Kingsbane was played in standard (aka before the oracles were HoF-ed) I had a pleasant experience as control warlock. I just oozed their weapon and milled it with the gnomeferatus. Renolock could probably pull the same thing.
Odd rogue should be very effective. They have to be pretty lucky be able to stabilize in time from the crazy early preasure of the Wild versions and get their weapon big enough for significant healing.
I finally beat one with Evenlock, Skulking Geist was mvp to get rid of those pesky Doomerangs. I doubt it is a good matchup tho...
As long as the rogue player can't kill them, then yeah. But this isn't easily achieved since rogues have Vanish, Sap, Doomerang and in some cases Vilespine slayer and Blade Flurry (+ more copies of them from Valeera).
My kingsbane is always destroyed by Shudderwookie

Rats, Ooze and gnomeferatu work well for me.
Dibbity don't touch that!

what about mage DK? is it enough to counter it?
