Hello hearthpwn community, I am your average American HS player. After frustration with standard decks, I switched over to wild for a bit and tried out a deathrattle hunter deck, which had surprising success at lower ranks and even higher ones. The deck quickly climbed from rank 20 to 10 with only one loss, and is currently sitting at rank 6 with a win rate of about 90%.
I am by no means a professional at the game, but I have found this to be very interesting. The sheer power and number of sticky/aggressive minions Wild has combined with some of Hunter's core spells make deathrattle hunter basically unstoppable. It should be noted that this deck is also insane against secret paladins, as their "perfect curve" is overwhelmed by the tempo and face damage that hunter is known for.
I'm curious about other people's thoughts on this, as the vast majority seem to dislike/hate on Wild.
Trust me it will get harder, I myself went from rank 17 to rank 6 in wild with midrange hunter at an insanely high winrate, but after that it gets tricky. I reached legend with a winrate of 61% with renolock, starting from rank 6.
