After playing around a bit, I got 12 win runs with most classes (never draft Hunter, rarely draft Shaman) and I have to say the best are Paladin, Mage and Rogue. The latter in particular can be such a strong class without real counter.
I think you can compile them into 3 to 4 tiers (not ordered within the tiers):
1-3
Mage is probably the easiest to "snowball" to a decent win number (just draft some AoEs, Fireballs etc)
Paladin is the most consistent with mutliple ways of getting at least a break-even run or better.
Rogue has probably the biggest potential to get to 12 wins the easiest. You can craft some really broken decks.
4-6
Warlock comes in afterwards, just because how easy it is to get a few wins with any draft. Just draft very low (mostly 2 - 3 drops) for the most part and it's nigh impossible to not get a decent number of wins. I used to play Warlock all the time when 8 wins were the maximum and would get to 7 or 8 wins like 8 out of 10 times. Still possible to get higher runs, but you consistently face decks with answers to that style at higher ranks now.
Druids have also great potential for big runs, but are too relient on a few specific cards to be consistent enough.
Warrior also depends on some specific cards (mainly weapons) and can steal a few wins easily consistently enough. The big run potential are rather slim compared to other classes, because those are just better (and have an actual useful Hero Power)
7-9
Shaman can be good, has some great cards that can win by themselves but is too reliant on them and RNG can be a bitch.
Priest could be good, but is way to inconsistent in their drafts. You just lose in tempo too easily more often than not. You not only need a decent draft, but also a decent curve on top.
Hunter can't comment, but I rarely see them and don't think they work particulairy well. They are basically a MUCH worse version of warrior.
The one thing you need to remember as a rogue, is that with most drafts you shouldn't go for long games(and drafts with better late game tipically suck in rogue). You want to out tempo your opponent and kill them before the game progresses to that stage.
Rogue mage and paladin, being paladin the one who is most picked. Rogue is the only one I made 12 wins with. Mage has always been a popular optin, though nowadays people tend to prefer paladins (because in theory "good minion>good spell")
It's funny, but the furthest I could go with other classes was 11-3 with priest... but usually is mage rogue pally. Next ones in my experience are Malfurion (big minions, very big and scary minions) and Rexxar (don't know why).

This is probably one of the most accurate lists I've seen. I completely agree with your tier listing. +1.

I think the main reason people don't rate rogue as high as they should is because they don't grasp its play style in arena. While most classes can afford to play for value and try to go for the long game(unless you deliberately draft a low curve deck), that's not really the case with rogue. On the other hand, they have the best tempo cards and hero power in the format(your 2 mana hero power manages to kill 2 paladin token, what else can you ask for) and can build tempo/aggro decks more consistently than any other class. If you keep in mind that you should be playing a tempo and not a value game, and that you shouldn't allow the game to progress longer than it has to, it is arguably the best class in arena.
IMO if you rate it anything below the 3rd spot(you could make a case for mage or pally to be better, but not any other class), you are playing it wrong. Simple as.

Well put. Nothing to add. Rogue has the most potential right now because it's favored against Paladin which is currently the most played class in arena.
which is, in your opinion, the best class to play arena?
my opinion:
1) Paladin Has so many value cards that with a decent draft you can overvalue your opponent
2) Shaman Very strong minions, good damage cards, and the overload isnt that much of a problem during midgame/lategame
3) Mage Very powerfull spells, and very good heropower
4) Warlock Heropower that can draw you cards when you have excess mana...
5) Priest Just pick high health minions and keep them alive
6) Druid Strong taunts in commonslot...
7) Warrior Weapons!
8) Hunter Very strong heropower when you draft an aggro deck!
9) Rogue meh... I keep doing 0-3 with rogue :(
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
Today I picked rogue 4th time in a row (7-3 today) and 50% people I faced were paladins, rest mages with some exceptions.
for me personally: 1. rogue 2. mage 3. druid 4, pladin

its well known that paladin is the top pick for average players. rogue is the best class if youre a good tempo player.
1)rogue
2)mage
3)pally
4)rest
5)warrior

I have the most success and only have had 12 wins with rogue. After rogue I think Mage and then Paladin.
I don't think that's true for warrior anymore, though the Paladin matchup is hard for them.

Mage | Rogue Paladin | Druid || Warlock Warrior | Shaman Hunter | Priest
I consider Priest to be 4th but you are certainly right about inconsistency for the class.
My Rogue decks are rarely as effective as others find but I've had several 12 runs from Paladin and Mage down the years.
