Ocean, I am curious about what you've experienced when it comes to consistency of winning in arena. I regularly find myself getting frustrated with "bad" streaks in which I can barely clear 3 wins. I have ~160 wins, since I started tracking I have an average of 4.5wins, I have two 12win and a couple 10/11 win runs).
While I understand RNG is a part of this game, I often read of how some players average 6-9 wins. So unless these players are the luckiest people ever, I find myself wondering what am I missing (or maybe low win streaks are common...). I've spent some time on these forums consulting with players and it seems like generally I draft and play well (I record my drafts as well as most of my games).
For instance, I just had this solid Paladin hand and went 0-3 http://www.arenavalue.com/s/ESykoj One game I literally drew my entire deck by the time they had pulled <20 and my last two cards were my Truesilver/SoJ... The other two games my opening hand and flop had 6+ mana cards... two games... both opening hands and flops...
So I am alone? Do even experienced players like yourself run into terrible luck streaks? Or have you found methods around it? Certain times of the day you play that work better than others?
Streaks are bound to happen good and bad, and since you have already reached the top in arena the only thing left for you to accomplish is to increase your win %.
I have noticed that sometimes when I play late at night I have better results; Perhaps people are more tired and so make more mistakes, or maybe its just a coincidence
anyway, you're doing fine in arena, just keep playing and watch Kripp and trump (Although less so Kripp because he makes mistakes sometimes and tries to justify it, when its obviously the worse move)
Have fun and understand that winning a lot isn't about legendaries, its about efficient trading which most cards when played in a certain situation can do
I Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but instead the help of arena value, I still continue to have poor stats in Arena. The best run I did was a 6 wins. But usual I only got 2 wins per run. So, any help would be appreciate.
I am debating doing a twitch stream playing this because I still cannot seem to do well and maybe others can help me......I just do not know what mistakes I am making during the game but I just cant seem to do well even with drafting help. IDK if a twitch stream would be viewed or enjoyed hahaha cause IDK who just wants to sit around and help someone with Hearthstone, but heck if anybody is interested and would like me to do this to help me please just let me know

I'd be willing to watch a bit. I'm not an amazing arena player, but I am pretty decent (the last time I checked the stats on my arena it was around 67% which is just under being able to play infinitely -- though this was a small sample).
One of the most useful things to me was watching past broadcasts of really good arena players (I used trump, there's several others), pausing at the start of every card to draft or every turn, and try to identify the best pick/move before they do it.
1) Curve is more important than value - Sunwalker is great value but if you have 6 of them and no two drops then you are going to have a bad time
2) Synergy is rare but powerful - Try and look out for combo cards, for example if you pick up an Auchenai Soulpriest and then later on you see an EarthenRing Farseer, think about picking it up
They can provide a lot of good information if you are unsure about what card is best
Holy crap what a great link even if it's not as up to date. I always wondered what would be good for what. I definitely have a harder time in arena than constructed.
It's very hard to give feedback on a draft when you post it like this. You could've picked horribly, or perfectly, and no one would ever know since we do not see the other options you had to draft.

No biggie. I went 3-3 with it. It would stall out. Should have been 2-4, but I top decked a finisher. No swipes hurt bad.
I just used your reference + tips, and my first match was against a hunter[I Used Shaman] who was Max BM mode, and with effective trades on my part. He ended up conceding after he ran out of gas and I never hit him once. NOT ONCE! It was 30 v 17 too. So sad.
To clarify for newer arena players a good curve should look like a high amount of 1-3 cost minions and then less and less of each which causes a descending look on the mana cost section of draft if you do it perfectly. Keeping a good curve is incredibly important in arena as you cannot control what cards you get but you do have significant input on their mana costs. You can easily beat players that draft legendaries and epics when you have a good curve because the most important part of hearthstone is maximizing your mana. Most importantly practice practice practice. You can't expect to be getting 7-12 wins every arena run no matter how good you are but with lots of practice you can easily make lots of profit. Don't let one or two bad runs discourage you even players like Trump have 0-3 arenas. Happy hunting!

^^Complete crap. Curve should center around 4-5 drops in most non-rush decks.
Having a deck with mostly 4-5 minions will leave you very weak turns 1-3 and 6-7. Playing a Chillwind Yeti (one of the strongest 4 costs in the game) will due nothing if your opponent has taken board control in the first few turns. It is important to always maximize your mana.
Hi I made this deck. I'm wondering how many wins you would give this one if played by an average player. I think I have a lot of luck this draft even though I had zero epic/legendary, but wondering if I made a good deck...
Cinkom,
If 6 wins is your stopping point how is your best key 10 wins lol?
Jsmiter,
I would be very happy to get that deck in arena
a few cards are average to slightly below average (Pint sized summoner) i but you know that if you used the tier list.
It would be very hard to play this deck incorrectly, just make sure to hold on to that ooze for dear life it you play against a weapon based class.
9-10 wins

Eatlolol, welcome to hearthstone!
Basics of the basics in Arena:
Trade minions efficiently (I.E. trade a 3/3 to kill a 2/1) to get a card advantage
Use reference sites such as https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AifXEOqTcGcLdFVvWk1GRjVJTHJUaTVLcGViR1RRTFE&gid=20 to help you determine which cards hold the highest value
Have fun and understand that winning a lot isn't about legendaries, its about efficient trading which most cards when played in a certain situation can do
Well Met!
Hi Oceanspud,
I want to know if you still take students? :)

Thanks.
Venture Co. is strong due to the general lack of constructed amounts of hard removal.

Can someone give me some insight on this draft. My skills are still entry level as I usually pick casual constructed over arena.

Can you give me any feedback on the attached draft?
I thought it would be killer but only managed 1 win. All four draws were against Mages and two of them had Ysera.
Not sure if my draw is bad or my play.
Any advice much appreciated.
