I have pretty much done everything in the game, from 12-0 wins to getting legendary in constructed, and I think it would be fun to help some people do the same.
Feel free to add me if you are on NA - Oceanspud#1310, and I will answer any questions you might have :)
would u be willing to show me some of the decks you run in regular ranked?, im trying to learn how to build better decks in arena as well i need more practice
1) Curve is more important than value - Sunwalker is great value but if you have 6 of them and no two drops then you are going to have a bad time
2) Synergy is rare but powerful - Try and look out for combo cards, for example if you pick up an Auchenai Soulpriest and then later on you see an EarthenRing Farseer, think about picking it up
So you're a legendary player that used 3 aggro/rushy decks. While I respect you used Mage, I can't help but feel a little pitiful that you mostly relied on Facebashing Hunter and Zoo Warlock. It doesn't say you're a high level player. It means that although you got good understanding of the game, you simply devoted a lot of your time and got on a few lucky streaks to reach Legendary.
Show me you rising the ranks with decks that actually require you to think 2 or 3 turns ahead. Show me you playing a deck that requires you to worry about card value, how to calculate chances on rolls/draws, how to make favorable trades, hpw to control/manage the board. None of the decks you play requires consistent good mechanics.
As far as your Arena prowess, I respect that, and I would obviously consider your opinions.
You are correct that the reader should be focused on asking Arena Oriented questions, which is why I posted in an arena forum, and the topic I presented was focused on my arena achievement and mentioning the constructed aspect was a passing thought. Playing a deck that fits your playstyle (I love face <3) is something I recommend to all players trying to get better, whether its in arena or constructed.
Thanks again for your comment and I hope to see you in the arena someday!
Warlock or Rogue, and low costing 3/2's. With Rogue you can back up your small creatures by daggering the opponents minions and trading efficiently, and with Warlock, the hero ability allows for you to churn out a bunch of small creatures while soul firing/shadowbolting the opponents board
Ocean, your advice about curve > card is spot on.. something a lot of people stumble on when it comes to arena.
That said, I suspect the spreadsheet you linked is a bit outdated. I haven't combed through the whole thing but it has pyroblast above blood knight and faceless manipulator. At 8 mana, no doubt, at 10... pretty lame. Blood knight is a much better card imo, since decks tend to lack 3's and DS is very common in arena. I might add that pyroblast is better in arena than it is in constructed since trading round after round and forcing topdeck wars is so common in arena.. but blood knight is still much better! Just my two cents.
Mana Addict - Standard 2 drop will take it out and survive (At least you have hero ability to take out the opponents creature although that sacrifices tempo)
Questing Adventurer - Most times too hard to get going
Ice Block - Does not save you in most cases
You have a few other poor cards such as Raid leader and Kobold Geomancer but hey every deck has one or two so no biggie
Typically you want 3/2 2 mana creatures and at least something thats a 3 drop that can trade with 3/3 3 mana creatures otherwise its hard to value trade
Overall the deck is probably slightly below average, although with decent mulligans I could see it going 5 wins and perhaps even the dream of 7 wins since you have water elementals, argent commander, a blizzard, and polymorphs
Physika, it probably is slightly outdated, although for starters the general premise is about the same, whoever adds me on Battlenet I usually give them 3 or 4 different options to cross reference

Would you mind deck testing? I got a deck I really like but I love any and all constructive criticism!
Unless explicitly stated, my posts are my opinion and mine only.
sure add me and I'll help deck test anything
Great question Simba
I think it would be fun to get one in the future, but right now I just have an NA account :)
Since you have so many wins in arena, what are your rules of thumb during the drafting phase of the arena?

Hi Brian!
Rules of Thumb:
1) Curve is more important than value - Sunwalker is great value but if you have 6 of them and no two drops then you are going to have a bad time
2) Synergy is rare but powerful - Try and look out for combo cards, for example if you pick up an Auchenai Soulpriest and then later on you see an EarthenRing Farseer, think about picking it up
3) Use References: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AifXEOqTcGcLdFVvWk1GRjVJTHJUaTVLcGViR1RRTFE&gid=17
They can provide a lot of good information if you are unsure about what card is best
Thanks will do! That's exactly what I was looking for.

Could I have some tips for drafting a face attacking based arena draft? Such as class and cards?

Ok I tried a trial arena, what do you think, what were bad choices?

Did you use Arenavalue.com ?
There are mostly good choices, and some terrible ones.
Lord of the Arena and Booty Bay Bodyguard are terrible, too little HP for a taunt. Mana Addict and Hungry Crab are very inconsistent, and also bad. Raid Leader is just too small to be a good 3 drop.
Aside from those, it looks really good. ;)
Unless explicitly stated, my posts are my opinion and mine only.

Poor Cards:
Hungry Crab - little to no synergy
Mana Addict - Standard 2 drop will take it out and survive (At least you have hero ability to take out the opponents creature although that sacrifices tempo)
Questing Adventurer - Most times too hard to get going
Ice Block - Does not save you in most cases

Varnon
If thats an arena deck then I see it going 8 wins or more
Mogushan warden and misdirection arent very good cards though so perhaps next time if you have other options that are viable steer towards that.
Look to combo Tundra Rhino and Stranglethorn Tiger/Kodo and you will be surprising opponents left to right
Physika, it probably is slightly outdated, although for starters the general premise is about the same, whoever adds me on Battlenet I usually give them 3 or 4 different options to cross reference
