Looking forward to it. Reminds me a bit of Drakk, but given that you can play more than one card a turn + use hero powers, and are against varied opposing decks, things are obviously a bit different.
If nothing else, advancing to 10 mana off the bat leads to more control (and combo), and less aggro. Certainly don't mind an aggro shift like that.
Will probably lead off with priest (primarily due to Lightbomb - lock is another obvious choice, but I'd have to craft 2x Twisting Nether and I don't want to do that just yet). Was also looking at shaman, if for nothing more than turn 1 shenanigans with things like turn 1 KT + Reincarnate, but the problem with investing in a play like that is that aggro lock is going to be able to play slightly more expensive than usual, and vomit a lot of presence on turn 1 and 2.
Interestingly, this is also the week where I'd planned to start doing a series on how to get the best leg up when starting a new account, or being a new player. Tavern Brawl was going to feature due to an easy free pack each week, but this week... unless one class manages to dominate enough to force concedes (which has happened in previous weeks) it's going to be very tough for me to get that free pack on the new account.
Edit: paladin could be another option. Can include more Equality enablers than usual, and double Lay on Hands.
Priest works miracles against OP druids here, just stock up on mind controls, SWDs and BGHs besides stuffing your deck to the limit with high cost legendaries and all types of giants. Plus Lightbombs ofc.
Priest with Shadow Word Death, Big Game Hunter, Mind Control, Alexstraza, Anima Golems, Holy Fires, Resurrects, Mass Dispel, and a bunch of high value things... maybe some charge.
So... This Brawl is made for those who want to farm some gold, huh? Turn 1 win, sounds fast enough for me. Too bad i don't have a decent collection of legendaries.
As the guy who only plays tavern brawl, invested around 150 bucks into cards (never got anything decent) and who prefers the random games: I'm not playing this week.
This always hits very hard for me as I'll have no hearthstone to play :(
Well, here's hoping for next week....
edit: btw, I'm not complaining. I just don't like this "pull out your heaviest cards early" game.
Won my first game by pure luck (got Archmage on the board and spammed down my opponent with fireballs)
And hell yeah, Baron Geddon from my free pack! That's perfect as I'm saving dust for a control warrior deck and I'd probably not otherwise crafted him! Woopdeedoo!
brawl is down. keeps saying "be back in an hour" wonder if they are gonna rebalance it or if something else is going on or if there is just too much traffic?
This one is Banana-Brawl level terrible if you ask me. Too bad because I quite enjoyed the last couple of Brawls.
Going first is a ridiculous advantage, the coin barely does anything in this mode, and it doesn't feel good winning with either sheer luck or against obviously new players who have none of the big legendaries.

It's up for EU before US. We're getting it in 37 minutes.
Heart of the Sunwell
In the Sunwell lies unlimited power, and that power is yours! Start each game with 10 mana and see what you can do!
What sort of decks are you building?
You can find decks others have created for this brawl here:
http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks?filter-brawl=5&filter-deck-tag=1&filter-deck-type-val=9&filter-deck-type-op=3
Don't forget to tag your own decks with the Tavern Brawl deck type on the deckbuilder!
Turn 1 alex seems to be good.
Druid FTW
Kappa 123
Lol, play all the dragons!!

My win as druid:
1. Alex
2. Shaman played Sylvanas + totem
3. Alex hit face, play Lumberer
4. Sylvanas hits Lumberer and steals it
5. BGH Lumberer -> Alex face gg ez,
Ancient of War in pack
Legends:
- Season 14 [May 2015] - Mech Mage
- Season 17 [August 2015] - Combo Druid
Interesting how will new players play this?
Played against Priest with turn 1 Ysera turn 2 Ragnaros. Oh yeah. Lots of fun :/
Made Face Hunter, queued into a Priest with turn 1 Ysera turn 2 Ragnaros. Do they always get them in starting hand? :)
But unfortunately for a priest after turn 2 he had 5 HP so... Thanks for the pack, I won't play this "who has most legendaries" brawl.
Never say "never say never"
Turn 1 Chromaggus
Turn 2 draw double BGH
proceed to draw double of everything end reck
Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
my win
turn 1- alex
turn 2- leeroy +assassins blade
opponent concede
-Im the original Mr. Pay2loose
Here's my plan:
Priest with Shadow Word Death, Big Game Hunter, Mind Control, Alexstraza, Anima Golems, Holy Fires, Resurrects, Mass Dispel, and a bunch of high value things... maybe some charge.
Priest (60) / Warrior (49) / Hunter (47) / Mage (45) / Warlock (36) / Druid (35) / Shaman (34) / Paladin (33) / Rogue (19)
Miracle Paladin is hilarious in this mode.
