4-0 with Priest right now. Also 1-1 with a silly Rouge deck.
One particularly baffling sequence of events was:
I play Chromaggius. I PWS it.
He plays Ysera.
I draw Mind Control. I play Mind Control and steal Ysera.
He plays Kel'Thuzad.
WHY. He knew Chromaggius duplicated MC. I promptly MC'ed that too.
I don't have that many legends so that's why I settled on Preist. He's got the best removal for big cards [SW:D; Lightbomb; MC]; and can steal enemy Legends. The legends I do have outside of Adventures are things like Rag and Vol'Jin, which help a lot.
Also; Rend Blackhand is useful. I'm running Azure Drakes for extra draw and to help him out. [Also to buff up Holy Novas; which I run for extra board push; dealing with an Onyxia; or Vol'Jin combos.]
First time poster here. I wanted to offer the point of view from a F2P almost-new player. I play casually (maybe 5 matches a day?) since March, just for the fun of it. I usually do the quests, buy packs, reach 20 on ranked so I can unlock the card back and some Arena once in a while. I don't care for competitive playing or building the ultimate deck. As a consequence, I don't have a lot of legendaries and my decks are budget.
Thus being said, I do think that people who don't like this week's brawl are wrong. It is fun and you can win even if you don't have all the greatest cards in the game. I basically used all my high cost/attack cards and then filled in the blanks with anything that I liked (spells and charge minions mostly). No, I didn't study the cards for 20 minutes or used some overly complicated strategy, I just quickly built a deck and played. Lost the first match, because I was not aggressive enough. Won the next 3, lost the fifth (clicked on the wrong opponent minion).
And I had fun! So really guys, why all the hate and disappointment? There will be other brawls, other cards and challenges!
This is the first time Holy Wrath hasn't sucked. Right now I'm playing a modified version of Kripp's Sleeping Giant Paladin deck where obviously the curve swings way to the right. It's still very RNGish, but so far I've Holy Wrathed 4 people for 20 to the face.
Why are people saying that this brawl is won by who everplays first?? i mean, chromaggus+coin+deadly shot actually has won me a lot of games also a fun game i had is one where i was playing against a warlock who cleared my board with an implosion that rolled 4 imps, then he procceeded to dump the rest of his hand in the board since he was playing a zooish version of warlock i used Starving buzzard+unleash the hounds and drew 7 cards to his 0 he insta conceded while doggies were clearing the board xD.
Also i'm a F2p player who hasn't spent any dime in the game and i'm running this deck
So yeah it's possible to have a nice collection without investing money in the game. I've also lost to really cool and creative f2p decks that didn't have any legendaries but had cool and creative combos using commond and basic cards, just don't get dazzled by the legends you see, you can actually win.
Trying to play a Warrior against a priest, he goes first and plays Maexxna-Divine Spirit X 2. Now, I'm facing a 2/32 creature with poison. I draw no weapons, no taunts, and no creatures with charge, so I play an Ogre and Stormpike Commando, knocking him down to 2/30. (Best I could do on the draw.) Everyone who plays a priest knows what comes on turn 2. Inner Fire! 30 damage...well, that was fun....NOT!
Alotta butthurt here. I imagine it's annoying to see all the epics & legendaries, but search and you'll find quite a few very cheap decks (below 2k dust) that do relatively well. Also, games are usually over pretty quickly, 3-4 turns, so it's not like a drawn out constructed game.
Brawl is supposed to be about shaking things up for fun. Taking it seriously is missing the point.
My second time this tavern brawl I got a turn 2 win. Played Alexstaza first turn, Rogue opponent plays Malygos. 2nd turn I drop eqaulity Avenging Wrath and Atk with Alesxtraza. :D
Heroic Wrath is finally good value in this kind of brawl too.
Eye for an Eye is actually good here. Killed a Hunter for exact damage after getting him down to 9 on turn 4. Thought as a F2P player this'll be a ballache.
I played one game so far,
Turn one: Force-Tank MAX
Turn two: Rend Blackhand (Killing their legendary of coure)
Turn three: Ragnaros the Firelord
Result: Easy Win :)

Well met!
How to win this weeks tawern brawl Step 1: Play alex or ysera turn 1. But othervise I like it, but turn 1 alex is too strong
Play Shaman against Mage.
Turn 1: Ragnaros the Firelord
Turn 2: Dr. Boom and Feral Spirit
Turn 3: Kel'Thuzad
Boom that's it. Easy game, easy free pack
I'm also F2P and never paid a dime on this game and I'm winning so quickly with this week's brawl. Priests for the win.

Thought last week's was crap....... but this one is groan worthy.

Mrglglrglglglglglglgl! Murloc Shaman has been super-fun.
Basically this. But I did run a force/roar druid with naturalizes that was able to win if I got coin.

Usually. Unless the opponent is a priest.
Anyhow.... I got bored VERY VERY fast with this brawl. All games are decided within 1-3 moves.
It's just the standard standalone Unity shell, and the dev team is tiny. Why would they bother customizing the shell for one platform?
Heart of the Sunwell Brawl is so fun....
T1: i played alex and drop opponent to 15 health.
T2: Enemy dropped alex and drop my health to 15. He said "well played"
T3: I played Kel'Thuzad and used alex to kill enemy minion alex. Enemy immediate conceded...
Dragon Paladin playable finally :P.

Druid vs Druid.
Turn 1 he drops Rag.
Turn 2 I drop Sylvannas... gg
