Well this is a really fun Tavern Brawl with the exception of including the White King. That one is just stupid and I figure that in a few days it will just be the old "chess" Tavern Brawl. Basically all of their pieces effectively have charge and don't take damage back. That just doesn't work in a normal game of Hearthstone.
The other bosses are great though, and those battles are worth exploring. Just concede the Paladin battles...
I just started, played shaman (lady naz'jar) 3 times, wasted 3 chess decks. The 3rd game I even got an unlicensed apothecary on the left on one turn, making my other 4 minions slap me for 20 damage. Still won.
Every minion the shaman summons keeps up in power level each turn as long as they stay alive. Once you have board advantage, it is really hard to lose it.
This could be my favorite brawl ever! So far I'm 3-0 as Warrior. Warrior absolutely crushes Paladin and Mage. Warlock can be tough to play around until you get a Grim Patron or two on the board and then its gg. Most decks don't have too many large minions and yet Warriors has plenty so the hero power works out most of the time. I would imagine warrior would even work well against Shaman. I'm wondering what Warrior's counter is...?
The white king is super OP. I really wish blizzard would introduce the chess pieces into the next expansion (at a slightly weaker power level of course). They are strictly control cards, that are a hard counter to aggro. There is NO PROACTIVE mechanic to counter aggro, which is why the meta keeps getting faster each expansion...

Yeah im afraid after a while this brawl will be filled with warrior goldfarmers, oh well ima try all classes until then.
Every single chess piece having six health seems a bit OP. Should have made their health vary like they did back in the actual chess tavern brawl. Balance among decks seems pretty bad, but a super fun idea. Wish the execution was better. The decks should have played like heroic bosses, rather than just awful cards thrown together out of regular cards.
Tough to do quests with this brawl. Warrior cannot compete against White King. That is all I am facing right now, and I need to do warrior quests. Think I am done with Tavern Brawl this week. I usually play them a lot, but this one, I am done.
The chess thing is really too strong and I predict that very soon everyone will just be playing that, thus ruining the brawl just as the last one was ruined by 90% astral druid by day 2.

Congrats you got unbelievably lucky 3 times in a row, maybe go out and buy some lottery tickets my friend.
As paladin I've destroyed shaman easily except the one game where my 6 drop turned into a 1/1, thus proving once again that skill is the last thing that can ever matter in Hearthstone lol.

The priest hard counters paladin, once you fill their board with spectral Knights they have 0 comeback mechs
confirmed: 1 boss for each class. its the best one yet for sure

Shaman is ridiculous
Great… I've got Warlock and Rogue quests
Complete trash.
I had an idea like this, except it was just Nefarian, Ragnaros, Kel Thuzad, Rafamm, Medivh, and Malchezaar. This one is better.
Noth the Plaguebringer vs Grobbulus...super balanced.
Nope.
Balance is totally off. so many 90%+ hardcounters.
Real fun for 2-3 games but it burns out fast.
Shaman is OP here too? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

Really enjoyable i've tried and won with every deck. Most fun are warrior and rogue in my opinion, followed by warlock and shaman
Top deck is cheat
