Dunno. Its an example like hunter dk. When the mechanics card pool is good then yeah tesspionage will be decent, but its not enough that u have tons of synergie when u get bad cards. Imho the discover mechanism is more decent in hs and u can plan your tactics. I play some miracle Rogue in wild now really enjoy it but many loss is because just shitty card shuffles and shitty for 1 mana ofc. And with early shuffles u maybe cant get your techs/spells in time.
Im very curious hunter dk how will perform in the wild beast card pool. I think badly.
As someone who has played mostly with the wild beast pool, I can tell you that it's quite a bit better. Dreadscale with poisonous has saved me countless times when massive boards threatened.
Sorry i dont want to Say that is useless, but its a huge pool and harder to make good beasts than in standard. Thats why tess wont be tier 1 and rng decides more your play than with rexxar. But ok i can accept your opinion.
No, but it'll be played more than its winrate says it should be because it is a blast to play.
Given how burgle rogue beats control, I wonder if it will join Quest rogue and Kingsbane rogue in the 'popular rogue deck that doesn't have the best win rates but is played a lot so squeezes control out of the meta anyway' category. And if so, will it get as much hate as they do?
Either way, I love how far the archetype has come. At this point last year (before Tess was revealed but we knew about the Cutlass) it was a joke that too few people had properly tried. It was difficult to get people to even try the deck, now they're asking whether it is going to be OP.
Yeah, every slow rogue deck is a total counter to warrior and lose to every aggro. We've seen this on quest rogue, tess rogue, espionage rogue, maligos rogue, pogo hopper, etc.
They force you to play aggro till rank 5, because otherwise you just concede. Above rank 5 people understand that beating warrior and losing to everyone else is not for reaching legend, so you won't see many of those.
Omegalul ppl saying the meta will be slower. Aggro will always be a thing. Will always be a t1 deck keeping the greedy non antiaggro decks like tesspionage in the bottom of t2 or most likely mid to top t3

I also don't think that Tess will be tier 1 and I agree that RNG plays a massive part in DK Rexxar. Literally all I was saying is that the beast pool for DK Rexxar is actually quite good in wild as there are some really good unique beasts and you have less of a chance of getting duds like the classic beasts. My comment had nothing to do with Tess at all.
Is the meta really going to be slower though? games are going to actually end from attrition because you don't have infinite rexxar/jaina/gul'dan level heals going on. No healing rain, no odd warrior armor stacking, no "renolash", etc. I think fatigue games are going to be more rare outside of decks that might specialize in it.
That said, Tess Rogue could honestly be the new quest rogue in terms of anti control. It will lose to aggro most of the time but if you can last long enough against aggro you'll out value them. You will beat any control that doesn't have a win condition by value. The new cards they've printed for thief rogue are super strong.
How does the deck do against mid-range hunter? Because although it loses some punch without razormaw, that deck is probably still going to be a force when the expansion drops.
It's not just razormaw, but no dire mole is actually a huge deal. Your only 1 drop is springpaw and timber wolf, which you generally aren't dropping on turn one anyway (unless you really want to follow up with a razormaw). Having a good early curve is really important to that deck, and right now the best dire mole replacement is 1/2 Hungry crab which just isn't going to cut it. I have no doubt that midrange hunter will be a deck again later on but until they get good one and two drops, it's going to be on the backburner. There are still a lot of hunter/neutral commons and rares yet to be revealed though so we'll have to wait and see.
Thief rogue will be unfavored against that kind of deck for sure but a 2 mana 3/4 rush, 0 mana deal 4 damage, cutlass, etc will give you a good fighting chance.

Deathstalker Rexxar is the most powerful card currently in Standard. There's no telling what shape Hunter will be in on Tuesday. There's absolutely no guarantee that Midrange Hunter will continue as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck.
Spectral Cutlass Thief Rogue will be S tier - strong and unnerfed classic set, high tempo cards, endless value cards and most importantly non-stop healing/removal with the spectral cutlass.

I very rarely lose to mid-range hunter because of Rexxar. Stats wise it's the worst performing card in the deck.
I have been playing Tess Rogue for like 3 months now, and I have a LOT of fun. I will feel really bad if everyone starts spamming this deck just because the new cards look really fun/powerful. I hope that the deck will be at most tier 2 so not everyone will spam it :D Same happened with Spell Hunter before Spellstone nerf and I was so disgusted that I couldn't touch the deck.
Spectral Cutlass Thief Rogue will be S tier - strong and unnerfed classic set, high tempo cards, endless value cards and most importantly non-stop healing/removal with the spectral cutlass.
So will be S tier every deck who tech in double ooze. Lel

Yes, Deathstalker Rexxar carried the hunter vs controls for the last 2 years. Without it the class is basically dead vs control imho, expecially those who have access to armor\heals.
Both Druid and Paladin getting tons of heals also.
Priest can't go infinite, and neither can Rogue once Valeera rotates to Wild.

I still think Mechabomb Warrior is going to be the top deck this expansion.

For the record, I was the one guy who started playing burgle rogue back in TGT, when there was no reason to do so but there were just enough cards available to come up with the idea (Trade Prince Gallywix, Nefarian, Nexus-Champion Saraad, Grand Crusader and of course Burgle).

Thief rogue will never be above Tier 2. The deck is too inconsistent and cannot win with its own resources. But it will be as much fun as always.
Playing Hearthstone in German solely for Garrosh sounds. Sieg oder Tod!
Aggro always prevails
I doubt that Meta will be slower. With tar Creeper and tortolan gone.

Without better card draw and stronger/more board clears, Rogue is not going to a value/control class. It just isn’t.
