When does blackrock mountain rotate out of standard? Is it after karazan comes completely out or will it be the set after that? If it does rotate out soon how do you guys think the meta will shift?
[Update]: Thanks for the replies, I guess this is what I get for paying more attention to faeria and mtg scene than hearthstone and it now makes sense. I'm going to try and pay more attention to hearthstone now especially with karazan coming out.
Not this again... It doesn't rotate with Karazhan, it rotates with the release of the first expansion in 2017 (just like TGT and LoE), stop asking the same all the time people.
You’ll play Standard using a deck built solely from a pool of cards that were released in the current and previous calendar year.
When we release the first new Expansion each year, every set that wasn’t released in the same year or the year prior will cycle out and no longer be part of the Standard format.
Dunno why people keep confusing it.. blizzard was VERY clear about it.
Yeah everyone got confused when wizard decided they were changing the rotation style for standard in mtg. I think this was partially why I was confused on hearthstone standard rotation.
I guess people (me included) think it works like that, because thats the way it should be in the first place? Why didn't they just rotate Naxx out when Kara hits and GvG when the next Expansion at the end of the year comes out, so we can continue the cycle of 4 Expansions and 2 Adventures per Standard-Rotation (or 3 Expansions and 3 Adventures, since BRM and LOE came out in the same year).
Right now we have to wait another year before the real Rotationcycle kicks in, because they wanted to take out Naxx and GvG so they don't have to nerf both sets in a big way and that is the confusing part.
I agree. Hopefully they change this policy in 2017 and implement a rolling rotation so that we don't lose 3 sets and only gain 1 from april-august.
We have 2 expansion this year, the rotation of GVG and naxx left us with 2 adventures and 1 expansion, expansions are generally more impactful than adventures, that's why it's ok from now on to have this rotation system.
Hi im new player and i didnt started blackrock mauntain. Is it posibble to start blackrock adventure after 11th when new adventure is arrived???Tnx for reply

There is nothing confusing about the cycling out of Naxx & GvG. Both these sets were released in 2014 (July 22nd and December 8th respectively). Considering it's 2016 and the only allowed sets in standard are ones that are released in the current year and the last, this is following the rules completely. Nothing confusing about it.
Next year the same thing will happen, where TGT, BRM & LOE will rotate out, because these were released in 2015, and only sets from 2016 & 2017 will be allowed in Standard. A lot of cards will go and we'll be left with only what's released this year + the new expansion of 2017.
I'm not saying that it's desireable, but it's simply NOT confusing.
Honestly I don't remember when every single expansion came out. Where I can find it, so I can calculate when it will die? :D
It's pretty simple, all expansions except Wotog and Karazhan (and the upcoming expansion) will rotate next year. Karazhan and Wotog will rotate one year later.

I'm like 99% sure it's gonna be rotated out at the beginning of 2017
No more dragon decks :( Bye Bye tempo dragon warrior , warrior priest ecc....
I think priest won t be improved in this advnture too ..
It will rotate next spring, just like TGT and LoE. Rotation happens when the first set of a year is released.

It will go out when the first expansion of 2017 launches. There's close to half an year left.
First expansion of 2017. So it stays in with Karazhan and the next expansion, and probably rotates ~March-April 2017.
CCGing since '98.

this is why we can't have more deck slots
