hi , idk it's maybe only good or bad luck , so i farm for malfurion coins too , i do the one vs omok , maybe the chances are higher than the other boss , but it's just luck
I guess if you don't have malfurion to grind tasks you don't have that many options. I think I get his coins at least every 2nd bounty but if it wasn't for the tasks and the xp I wouldn't bother.
It's bad RNG for you, assuming you are on HC. The data shows no significant deviation between bounties - whilst Malf was my worst individual coin type, that was 23.69% Malf across 24 runs, which isn't a huge blip from the ~28% across 121 runs for all HCs with leg/epic/rare rewards.
Bad luck, I suggest you play normal mode with only 3 mercs in your party, instead of heroic mode with 6 mercs. Much faster and consistent coin farming method imo. That is if you have Malfurion, if not, go with 6 mercs it doesn't matter.

Interesting argument there. I suspect you're wrong, but lets throw in some maths here. Assumptions:
0) Of the five bundles, one is party mercs, 3 are bounty mercs, 1 is random. Random merc bundle can be ignored due to huge variance and tiny impact upon figures (yes, I have a background in physics, not maths. Does it show? :P).
1) Coin distribution for the party bundle is flat for that one bundle, not influenced by rarity. This seems reliable to me, though the exact comps I was using varied as I wasn't controlling here, so I can't run actual analysis.
2) Rates on coins from each of the three bundles from the bounty are 27% HC, and 13.5% N. Pretty confident on HC< not as confident on N.
3) 15 coin AVG per bundle N, 25 on HC. Didn't track these, so anecdata here, but fits what I've seen relatively well.
D) You're full on tasks at campground (long term grinding at 17/18 tasks done, since accounting for fluctuating task coins and time spent doing tasks is nontrivial).
5) Stranger rate has varied significantly since most of my data was produced, but it shouldn't vary between N and HC. I'd hazard a guess at 1/3 post-pirates addition.
So, on HC, per run: 3*.27*25+25*1/6+S*15, for S as stranger rate. That's 24.144+15S per run.
On N, per run: 3*.135*15+1/3*15+S*15, that's 11.075+15S per run.
Take S as 1/3 as a rough guess for easy numbers? 29.144 vs 16.075. So you're better off farming N only if it's nearly double the speed of HC.
Numbers also change if you run with under 6 on HC as well as improving for higher starnger rates.
Just feels boring cause anduin had a much bigger drop rate, wish i had farmed a bit instead of finishing all bounties...i thought there would be a legit ragnaros fight at the end...had a hard time with some bosses and leveled anduin but end up doing everything with cariel+samuro+xyrella
I guess the endgame is doing pvp till more content is added?
I have recorded the results of 39 runs of Fallen Guardians Heroic (farming Malfurion coins). Out of the 3x39 = 117 drops, 29 were for Malfurion (24.8%), with an average of 20.5 coins per drop (mostly 20, but also some 10, 15, 25 & 30)

Well it is, maybe even triple speed. Heroic bounties are veeery long. Normal bounties you can pretty much speed run with blind eyes. Thanks for the maths though, I liked it
but thanks to the grind i decided to play murlocs, and boy am i having fun! no more of the dull cariel+xyrela+samuro
You can build a good pve team around just about any merc with a no cooldown taunt. Cariel tends to be the go-to because she's a starter and her taunt lasts 3 turns, but a lot of people sleep on Mutanus who is also a really good tank, especially after his taunt just got buffed last patch (particularly if you also use his taunt equip, which reduces damage further AND makes him immune to crits).
Cornelius also has a 0 cd taunt, but he still sucks.
Uther's taunt is 0 cd, but his is special in that he gives this taunt -to other mercs-. Now pair this with Varian's recently buffed Retaliation and you can have a lot of fun, particularly if you fill the rest of your team out with humans for that sweet synergy (Anduin, Antonidas, Natalie, Tirion, Jaina, Lich King.. Natalie's a more reliable healer than Anduin, but Anduin has better human synergies.. Jaina and Arthas have good frost synergy.. Tirion kinda sucks, but he's the only green human, so..)
edit: forgot, Mr. Smite also has a 0 CD taunt, if you're feeling piratey

Mutanus' issue, for me, is that he is absolutely wrecked by later bosses, They, or their adds, generally have the melee strike that speeds up their fire abilities or slows down the target's abilities, so after the first turn his taunt comes too late. Cariel feels more reliable for the tougher stuff, which sucks, because Mutanus is great - a green with 0-CD taunt is excellent.

hi!
i just crafted Anduin after farming his coins, which took some time but usually i had a good drop rate...
i am on my 6th malfurion coin grind and i get 10 coins every 2 fights, and this on heroic...bad luck or malfurion is harder to make?
i got more jaina coins on a single run then malfurion on all runs....and jaina's coins dont even drop here
hi , idk it's maybe only good or bad luck , so i farm for malfurion coins too , i do the one vs omok , maybe the chances are higher than the other boss , but it's just luck

27%, not 28%, sorry - 26.9% now I've checked, and across 125 HC bounties (375 bundles).

Nice input, thanks!
I have many under 30s so ill keep running hc with a few in party

Bad luck, before you know it, you'll grab a triple coin drop. That's what happened with me.
i would like to collect them all, but legendaries take so many coins!
while farming for malfurion coin i got so many of the others i have those mercs with all abilities at lvl 4, and they are barely past lvl 15 hehe
but thanks to the grind i decided to play murlocs, and boy am i having fun! no more of the dull cariel+xyrela+samuro
