This Tournament had some great play in it no doubt but I think it is safe to say that it is not the best representation of how Standard will be.
The player had 1/3 of there card collection (the new expansion yet to come) not available and did gravitate to deck sets that were the least impacted of the loss of GVG and Naxx such as Combo Druid and Aggro Shaman. Still even with that we did get to see some other deck archetypes come back from the grave such as Miracle Rogue along with some revamped Dragon Priest and Warriors that at times seemed a bit cluncky but preformed ok.
I hope blzz takes a looks at this tournament and see the effect and impacts some the of the classic card impacted the tourney and use that if when in development cards coming expansion /
No real new deck appeared there (Didn't watch all though) most players brought miracle rogue, combo druid(the deck that is barely touched by standard, and face shaman).
Seems like zoolock will be just fine in the end as trump had some success with it!
But we really need SOMETHING for paladin, mage and hunter to be relevant it seems..

didn't see a freeze mage..
Everyone expected druid and aggro shaman. Freeze mage lost a lot of it's healing, so these are now terrible matchups. Not to mention the loss of mad scientist (which freeze mages underestimate the impact of). It simply wasn't a good pick. Tempo mage was solid enough though. Honestly, I think mid-range hunter (not Kolento's version) will be a pretty strong deck all things considered and I'm still convinced that if druid is nerfed murloc paladin will be a great deck.
That was an interesting tournament, even if it was pretty far from what Standard will actually be like. For example, the complete absence of Freeze Mage and Renolock probably will not carry over to Standard.

Your soul will be mine for $9.99....
Trying to get more into HS. I am not the best at making my own decks, so I copy others, lol.

I wrote a blog analyzing it further, including some class statistics and archtype lineups each player bought (includes spoilers on results): The Curse Trials was not Standard format Hearthstone, but can we learn something anyway? - http://www.kilkku.com/oldguardian/2016/02/the-curse-trials-was-not-standard-format-hearthstone-but-can-we-learn-something-anyway/

That final game in the grand finals was insane. Holy moly lol
Misplays from both ends, but ending it with the last card drawn is epic.
