After many weeks of battles we have the winner of Murloc Madness! After defeating Reno Jackson in the Finals Ragnaros the Firelord is crowned the champion of our legendary card competition and Hearthstone's favorite legendary card of all time!
This is the end of Murloc Madness for now, but hopefully next expansion we will run a similar competition for the favorite Hero Card of Hearthstone and at the end of that a showdown between whichever Hero card wins that and the winner of the Favorite Card competition: Ragnaros the Firelord!
This really demonstrates the power of nostalgia, I guess. As someone who's never played WoW and didn't play Hearthstone from the beginning either, I find Ragnaros the Firelord to be a fun card with great art, but nowhere near my personal top ten favourite legendaries. If it was up to me, Ragnaros should have lost to Edwin VanCleef.
Well, the community has spoken, so hail the Firelord! Thanks to the mods for organising this fun event.

Rag has been powercreeped, tbh. Used to be dominating in the 8 slot, before that was considered too slow even for control. A lot of it will have been HS nostalgia, a lot how iconic Rag is in the franchise, and also vanilla wow nostalgia.
At the start of the competition, I said it was pointless because reno would win. I was nearly on point with the prediction, but on the other hand, Reg completely deserves it, if he manages to knock out both Yogg and Reno, cards that are way more interesting and age definining in my opinion. But Rag has an advantage: he was there since day one.

The card that used to be in every control deck back in the day.
This is fraud! The votes have been manipulated by the mods! >:(
Just kidding, hehe. XD
Ragnaros the Firelord is boring as hell, there is only one king, one RNG god: Praise f..king Yogg! :D

Of course Ragnaros wins. He may not be the strongest anymore, but he’s been one of the most consistently represented legendaries over the years in the forms of Fire Plume's Heart, Ragnaros, Lightlord, Majordomo Executus, and Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk whose entire effect is to summon Ragnaros.
There’s a word for Zandalari druids who refuse to pledge loyalty to Gonk: “Delicious.”

And the point of this was…?
To find out who the most popular Legendary card in Hearthstone was. And to have some fun in the process.
It was fun for most people taking part, sorry it wasn't for you.

That was a great job. Thought for sure Reno was gonna take it. Gonna have to have The Amazing Reno come poof Rags away now.
