Been playing the game without sound for a year now. Sound seem superfluous and distracting. The rope timer puts you in panic mode. Sometimes, I multitask and the sounds is intruding.

I do the same, but I keep my sound on so that I am alerted when its my turn. It also alerts me to the presence of Nozdormu so I don't instantly lose when he is played.

Always totally muted as well... I'm really starting to wonder if Blizzard should stop doing all that work on music and voice and spend more time somewhere else ;) All that because some streamer though BMing was cool, and kids are like little monkeys...
I play muted mostly...although that's because I'm on my phone on the commute or on breaks at work. I'll use sound very rarely at home, and I'm always surprised by the sound effects

Quit complaining and just have fun with this game!
I usually just have music turned on while playing and only the Hs music disabled so i got some soundeffects which arent too distracting
This is pretty much what I do. I play quite a bit while walking or jogging on the treadmill, so this allows me to listen to my own tunes but still hear the effects.
I watch youtube well I play hearthstone. The only problem is I cant watch hearthstone videos and play hearthstone at the same time, too much hearthstone.
I always turn the sound on almost exclusively for the first couple of weeks after an expansion or adventure. I like hearing the new sounds, phrases and tunes. Blizzard does a good job of making most of them entertaining. Then after a while I grow weary of it all and lower the volume to a bare minimum and play with louder music in the background instead. I rarely completely mute the game because occasionally there's a cue or bit of key information provided by the sound effects.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
I've never played with the sound on. Not sure why, but I guess I just never really thought about it. I also tend to be watching Netflix, TV, or Youtube or listening to music while I'm playing so having the sounds on would probably just bug me. It didn't even occur to me that there were entrance sounds and what have you until I saw a thread asking for people's favorites on here. I've always been a mute-style player though, ever since back in the day when my parents would tell me to cut the sound on my Gameboy during road trips.
I keep the bgm muted to listen to my own music but everything else I haven't touched.

I play the game on mute on my PC while I watch Twitch.tv or podcasts on my iPad (with headphones, to avoid annoying my wife).

I've no idea what most of the game sounds like as I always played muted.
The missus wouldn't appreciate Hearthstone babble while we are watching telly of an evening.

I always have a video or song playlist running in the background when I'm doing anything.
I play it on my tablet, which I generally have on mute.
I Never play with sound on.
