What is the hardest class to hit legend with? I am going to create my own original deck of whichever class is the hardest to hit legend with, and well try to hit legend with it. So which one is the hardest!?
Rogue seems to be in a bad spot because of all those aggro decks but I would actually say priest because most viable priest decks have veryyy long games and there's no guarantee you win either. (Plus you auto lose to any hand lock variants out there)
Priest? I didn't think it was that difficult to hit legend as a priest, since most of the times I have played it, they are usually curving perfectly and beating me with every aggro deck I use, etc.
Priest. Because he has some UNWINNABLE matchups (oil rogue, murloc paladin, freeze mage) another bunch of very difficult matchup and even good matchup took long time and a lot of thinking and concentration.
I fully agree on the bad matchups and bad meta for Priest right now.
However I disagree on the "lot of thinking and concentration" part of your post. It varies according to the Priest archetype. Dragon Priest is pretty straightforward and very easy. Control Priest is a little more complex. But with priest you have the tool/answer or you don't. Many priest removal/cards are really situational and not flexible at all, therefore the decision making is pretty simple. I found Rogue and freeze mage much harder to play well since theirs core card/removals are less potent but much more flexible. You can immediately recognize a good or bad Rogue whereas priest it's harder to tell.
WIthout any doubts rogue. Ofc you can become legend quite fast with rogue, but the class has by very far the highest skill required. yes, it may take long with contrledecks, and yes priest and warrior are on rank 2, concerning the difficulty to ladder with, but rank 1 is deffintly rogue.
i really don't get why prest is being pick so much i would say prest would be top 3 BEST to ladder with its my go to most of the time be for worst 3 i will go shaman rogue hunter (worst to best) shaman seem the most inconsistent to me everytime i play it its win 1 lose 1 win 2 lose 1 never get a good win streak same for rogue but i get more wins in a row like 4 before a lose and hunter has been going downhill since tgt (even tho i got a 13 win streak to rank 5 on tgt launch).

Least used class at world finals (and even before face shaman was a thing). Suffers from inconsitency as few cards are stand alone good on their own. Carddraw is a combo (compared to all other classes where its guaranteed), no 2 drop that can be played t2 and actally contest the board. Thoughtsteal can give cards such as Deadly Poison or Shield Slam.
Has a few almost guaranteed losses (reno/handlock, anyfin paladin, freezemage, any rogue) while no almost guaranteed wins (even face hunter depends on drawing decently turn 1-5). Suffers from sticky boards, has troubles with masses of minions with more than 2 hp and/or more hp than attack. Removal spells are situational (compare having an SWP and an SWD in hand vs having Flamecannon and Fireball). Deathlords increase the winrate vs aggro but will cause RNG losses (turn 3 Ragnaros). Priests has almost no tempo plays (maybe Cabal and Auchenai+Circle), no insane-value-minions or spells compared to what other classes can accomplish. Dragon Priest relies entirely on topdecking a good curve while always "holding a Dragon". Lastly games take longer on average which also is a factor.
Above pretty much sums up why Priest will never be considered the best class, why it's rarely used in tournaments and also why it's hard to achieve legend with it. Not THAT hard, obviously, but harder than with Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior.
Definitely some good points there, but I just believe since the current meta is Pro-Aggro, priest tend to have more success than let's say rogue, or even hunter, due to the fact they have mass removal (Lightbomb,Nova, Auchenai-Circle). For example, I decided to try out some dragon priest towards the end of the season and ended up having more success with dragon priest than hunter/rogue.
I will repeat myself, but I think with Priest you can have really good win streaks easily. Handlock/Renolock beating you? Not anymore, sorry guys, but this is actually easy matchup. Just save double Flash Heal, Auchenai Soulpriest and with Justicar Trueheart you have 14 damage combo in hand. That is usually enough to win against Lord Jaraxxus and trust me, until they are running the combo version of Renolock, they will use him. And against combo Renolock, just stay above 22 HP (that is maximum damage they can do with the combo with perfect hand and not using any of the combo pieces on board without taut), with Priest, pretty easy thing to do. I had winstreak after win streak last season when I climbed to legend with Control Priest.
You can also win against Freeze Mage (hard, but winnable, you have double Flash Heal anyway).
And about that RNG factor with Deathlord. Aggro decks do not runs things as Ragnaros. And in other matchups, it is very bad thing to put Deathlord on board when you know enemy can kill him and you do not have any hard removal in hand. You can use him early against secret paladin super early, because, yes, RNG can totally screw you, but most of the times, they are unnable to kill him in one turn, so they will mostly just silence him in worst case.
And getting the card draw combo is actually ridiculously easy thing to do. Also, you can always run Acolytes of Pain and Harrison Jones.
TL:DR
Priest is one of the easiest classes to climb the ladder if you do not mind long games.
Rogue and Priest are the harder classes to play and they are very slow. hunter is a fast class but i think it's not anymore a Face Hunter favorable meta
I'm wondering how extensively you all play Priest. The sheer amount of agro decks is insane. I would put put Priest as one of the hardest if not the hardest.

Yeah it's rouge. Also try mill rouge for an impossible challenge.
Not exactly the responses I was expecting, because I tend to see more rogues than hunters as I am laddering.
I would say Hunter, thats a challange atm

Rogue.
Definitely doable but not on autopilot like combo Druid or most of the aggro deck where misplays are hiding behind a perfect curve.

Hunter or Rogue followed by priest

I would bet a lower curve version of Raptor Rogue could reach legend, but Rogue in general has to be the hardest right now.

Rogue? No... just no.

Wait... 3 people voted for Paladin? wut....
