I have again enough dust to craft one legendary and being fed up with rogue I wanted to go back my previous main class which has always been priest. Especially Reno priest in wild is something I've had in my mind lately. Since I feel like crafting a new legendary to supporting this archetype, which one would be more impactful and useful in the long run, Illucia or Polkelt?
Illucia has more limited uses being a class card but on the other hand i highly despise otk combo decks and rarely play them which rules out many decks including Polkelt. With 2 mana Illucia was pretty op but now after the nerf I think I'm more leaning towards Polkelt.

Those who cannot remember their card history are doomed to repeat it.
I played around with Illucia when she was 2 mana and I would say it was either a card that sat in you hand for the whole game and you were too afraid to play it becuase of the other cards you have in hand, or I played it and it won me (or lost me) the game there and then. It's a great card against combo decks and decent against druid at the moment (and probably also good against rogue). On balance I would say she's not that great though
Polkelt is absurd in Raza priest, far better than illucia since the nerf.
It remains to be seen if illucia will stand the test of time (tbh im not actually sure how common it is to run it currently) but I feel confident that razakus will never give up polkelt.
I agree with my precommentors. Polkelt is far more important. Knowing what you'll draw will be important for any combo deck in the future, since Polkelt is a neutral it has more usages down the line.
Illucia is a nice to have but not as important - it will pretty much auto-win you the game when played correctly and against any other control/combo, but is way harder to use and not a neutral on top.
Polkelt = objectively better Illucia= more fun (for me)
Polkelt is the the zilliax equivalent for combo/late game decks and will continue to improve drastically overtime. Also, neutral legendary so he can be played in 10 classes in contrast to the 1 of illucia.
Illucia is sick, but comes with a high skill ceiling and requires meta knowledge as well as game sense to pull off effectively. I cant count the times that some idiot highlander priest handed me their zephyrs or reno only to lose the game in the subsequent turn. The drawback of being a class legendary on top of the recent nerf makes Polkelt the very clear winner here.
Illucia is not even played anymore in Priest, whereas Polkelt is mandatory in the best deck right now for ladder : Face Hunter
Dear face hunter, OP is asking a question regarding wild. Thanks face hunter.
Same answer (I’m wild legend every month): Polkelt. But, Illucia is a very powerful yet very technical card. You’ll have to master Razakus and the meta before being able to use her properly. I’ve faced so many people misusing her that I feel they changed the way she was perceived more than the nerf itself, because she’s still winning games for me.
So when the time comes for your next craft, don’t count her out just because you’re going for Polkelt right now.
Polkelt is not only insane in Raza Priest but it has tons of potential in many current and future decks/archetypes in both standard and wild. Doesn't have to be a combo/OTK deck, but any deck that at some point in the game benefits by drawing their highest-cost cards (perhaps some King Phaoris decks for example)

I had not read all the post, only the title, my bad here.
People still assuming in 2020 that face hunter is the least skilled deck to play is hilarious though, it's not the same playstyle that it was in 2015 when you only go face, but yeah so funny "hur durr face hunter bad"

Nothing personal but I can’t take seriously anyone who talks about skill regarding hs. Maybe it’s a language thing. I don’t hit legend every month because I’m “skilled”, I reach it because, on average, I know the game and the meta better than my opponents, period.
On the other hand, since my early MTG days I always despised aggro/face decks, even if I accept the fact that they have to exist to maintain balance. But as long as I can play control decks with a positive win rate, it doesn’t matter much, and at least these games do go faster.

I would argue that knowing the game, the meta and the matchups, and playing accordingly is being skilled.

I dont have Polkelt so I cant comment on that one

Craft polkelt 100%

Polket. It is known
I would craft Illucia, it's a fun card to play.
