When the expansion hits, I'm going to play an OTK paladin deck which can OTK only mages and priests. I'll try to optimize the list to make it as viable against other classes as possible, but the main goal is to have tons of fun destroying mages and priests (assuming they exist on ladder and play specific minions). So here is the idea: if combo priests and tempo mages survive the meta shift, I can more or less safely expect they'll play Sorcerer's Apprentice and Radiant Elemental, which are the crucial part of my combo. It is rather simple and elegant but a bit tricky to perform.
So here is the combo: when a mage or a priest plays Sorcerer's Apprentice or Radiant Elemental, I copy it with Faceless Manipulator, then copy it again with Prince Taldaram, then play Stonetusk Boar and finally buff it to the necessary amounts with Sound the Bells! which obviously becomes infinite this turn. The whole combo takes 4 cards and 9 mana. The most important part in this strategy is to keep their spell cost reduction minions alive if they are played too early for you to perform your combo either because of low mana crystals or not having all the combo pieces. In this situation I'm going to do either of two things: I can Humility the minion so it doesn't hurt me very much and not trade into it ever (though it's pretty risky to leave a spell cost reduction minion alive for a long period of time); or (and this method is much more reliable) I can Prince Taldaram or Faceless Manipulator it and then Youthful Brewmaster it. Now i don't need it to stick on the board.
All in all, the deck won't obviously be anywhere near successful, but I expect to have a lot of fun, and hopefully I'll encounter enough mages and priests to use my strategy.
P.S. It will be a shame if the Echo animation is not fast enough and I won't be able to make a 30/30 Stonetusk Boar during a turn.
You're assuming that you'll not only get to turn 9 against these decks, but also that you manage to keep any of these minions on the board long enough without them ending up killing you.
Do you know what COmbo Priest will do to you if they have a radiant elemental for about 6 turns?
Also, Secret Mage will not survive the rotation and I doubt that combo priest will be all that strong without Potion of Madness and DrakOp.
The thing is that priest mainly plays radiant elemental before they OTK you or on t2 with pw:s. And it's mainly aggro mages that play sorcerers apprentice and quest mage, and the latter will most likely kill you when they start dropping them.
I really, really, really like your idea. I'm personally all for meme decks, but this doesn't seem to be a good deck. First off, Secret Mage is going to shit after the next rotation (RIP Kabal Crystal Runner and all the other cards I can't remember). So unless other Mage Decks play Sorcerer's Apprentice (which is very unlikely), this OTK only works against Priests with Radiant Elemental, which makes up the two people out of 7 million players that still play classic Inner Fire Priest at rank 20. So sorry, this idea will not work very well.
Might as well throw in a few Shredders + Kabal Currier for a chance of either: - spawn one of these 2 cost minions (and save them from removal) - discover the Apprentice (and play it whenever you choose to)
Yup the theoretical possibilities are endless :). Might as well just play Mage or Priest and try to get the Bells from random spell generation or discover mechanic :D

"The Naaru have not forgotten us!"

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

However, I hope you manage to pull it off. :D
Good luck, man =)
Ur plan is ruined by a single tar creeper though right?
Feels like some serious bad games. Good luck with that. Assuming they play them next meta.
Fun idea for the meme section ;)
I cool idea! Guys it's a fun-meme deck. And even if it works 1 in like 20 times - you are gonna feel super good.
I will definetely try it out. Thanks for the idea, mate!

I'm sorry too.
maybe it's easier to run Grand Crusader in any mage/priest deck ?
And a few brewmasters and zola

I think you are more likelly to get one of those by getting an evolve effect from witch's Cauldron and evolving a recruit.
