I thinkCall to Arms is the only thing that will keep pally relevant sadly. (Unless of course the unrevealed cards have something in store.) I can see almost every deck using Call to solve its draw problems and gain tempo. Things like Dirty Rat and murlocs will be insane when drawn and played with this.
As someone else said, now that we've seen all the cards, it feels to me like they're just throwing cards for paladin instead of giving a good amount of thought as to what interesting strategies might be and could be developed. There's zero sense in the cards they made, it's just random stuff that each card applies to, I really don't feel much thought was given to the paladin cards this expansion. /:

I'm thinking of finally disenchanting my entire paladin collection. I've always made a steady effort every expansion to collect every single paladin card and create every possible archtype to bring to ranked and test out. However, the recent addition of Lynessa Sunmemer and super slow weapon hit the nail in the coffin. Other cards support recruit synergies again only "good" in wild and I say "good" since it gets weaker with the onset of newer removal cards for preist and warlock every expansion. So where does that leave us in standard? Murloc midrange trash which isn't even tier 1. I'm totally tired of abusing bonemare and other garbage just to have my opponent always add me after they lose and say, "NICE BALANCED DECK BRO". And I'm like, "sorry it's the only one".
I loathe Murlocs aesthetically and Jade druid has invalidated Control Paladin for over a year now so...It's been reeeeeaaaaaallly hard to keep playing lately. Honestly if it weren't for Big Easy Druid existing (Druid is my second favorite class but god do I HAAAAAAATE Jade for what it's done to the game) I'd have quit week one of KotFT and never come back. I miss old-school midrange Pally with Muster and Minibot :( you could even play it while all those asshats where abusing secret pally.
I really want buff pally to be “fully” fleshed out and have a place in the meta. The l legendary pally weapon is a step in the right direction
You know, to be totally honest, I always hated the buff mechanic they added in MSOG. But I think I agree with you since the weapon makes it look more fun to play if a solid version of the deck can be made.

I agree. Jade druid has utterly ruined any chance for "regular" control decks to have any chance. Blizzard are not smart to not change it and not only that, they gave Jade druids more tools to be more powerful, while paladin, on the other hand, just got random stuff that doesn't make sense to anything earthly...

Don't! Every time a class was underwhelming, Blizzard gave it some OP tools, I'm positive that next expansion they'll give paladin the cards it deserves.

Hopefully they deliver like you say. But idk man, if after two weeks from expansion release and people tell me, "oh it's ok, just go play dudeadin in wild", I'll probably join the ranks of my old enemy of paladin, priest. Since there, I can finally play a good control deck.

Don't. Control Paladin's problem is that it's a fair deck doing fair things, while Priest and Druid got stupidly powerful tools to invalidate it. But when rotation comes there'll be no Raza and no Jade Idol, so it actually might resurrect the archetype.

Paladins got good cards this expansion, a cycling divine shield to give them the card draw they desperately needed, the second-stickiest Legendary weapon out of the lot with massive snowball potential when you start creating multiples with Chain Gang and Doppelgangster, a Legendary that doubles the value of all their buff spells and doesn't get Rogue-gimped as hard by Vanish...
Yes, Priests have tools to destroy their plans. Priests have tools to counter literally everything now. That is a Priest problem, not a Paladin problem. The best we can hope for is that they don't have the right attachments to their swiss army knife tech. Druids roughly break even, their current Jade list is so good most of these cards, while strong in their own right, are simply not as broken as what they already run.
I don't think Paladin is necessarily Tier 1, per say, but it's definitely about as playable as Warlock.

True, paladin got good cards, but as good ol' Kripp says "if it's not broken, it's not viable in constructed". Paladin got useless cards this expansion in the scenario that you want to be competitive. But if you're looking to play not so good decks and not reach high ranks, I agree with you, paladin did get good cards. :p

True though, I agree, call to arms is broken, it's seriously strong, it's actually insane. Not only does it get useless minions from your deck at later stages of the game, but also it puts them directly to play. This is the type of effect that made patches so strong. This card is INSANELY strong.
Paladin is bad now and will continue to be bad once the expansion hits. As much as blizzard has tried to push dude paladin back, it still lacks solid early game minions to be viable. It will get absolutely destroyed by pirate/keleseth bullshit. Control Paladin won't ever be playable when Razakus and Jade Druid are around, so.... another expansion where my favorite class is absolute crap
Silver Hand Recruit Paladin is my absolute FAVORITE deck archetype so i'm loving all the new support. It's by no means a great deck but it's one of the most fun for me because it feels like I'm commanding a mini army, and I play HS for fun decks not tier 1 decks. And who knows, with the new cards it might even become something great.
We have survived the storm of the jade monster and our deliverance is only months away. Despite our controlling ways being dealt a harsh blow with miracles abounding we have still cobbled together a mighty defence with our murloc allies.
If we can remain relevant at a time when everything we held dear has been ripped from us then surely deliverance is at hand.
Cling to the light and do not lose faith. Take up your truesilver and know that the silverhand will be there to support us in the months ahead.
Ready your buffs and prepare to fight. We will not be silenced! Even in death our ashbringers will bring ruination.
I call all those worthy to arms and implore you to fight. Fight for our right to stay in the meta and show all those net deckers out there that justice is still here.

what does “paladin main” mean? it’s my second most played class, does that count?
