hey guys, i know some of you will say that there are still a lot of card from the expansion to be released, but i think it is clear that paladin will - yet again - be very bad.
Gadgetzan didnt help, and the new cards wont. A legendary card that requires a board to be good, a legendary quest that requires a bad deck to get a killable minion. Spells that summon 1/1 dudes and a card that buffs them, once. How does that help paladin? How is the class supposed to kill jades and survive the pirate aggro madness?
Guess ill have to craft patches or play the dumb jade decks for another 6 months...
Or you could look on the bright side and try to pioneer a Paly-pirate deck with the new quest, 1 cost buffs, and some pirates. Could be good who knows. With these things its best to look at the bright side considering it takes a month or 2 for the meta to solidify
could play elemeentals or hunter or nzoth priest, discard lock or anything else (you know if they;re good). Had been playing HS since blackrock mountain, and I could be wrong, but everytime in hearthstone theres been an unplayable class. Shaman was considered trash way back in time. then priest was unplayable. This year though, we got two unplayable clsses. Maybe paladin will be the unplayable class but i do sure wish all classes will be playable. and who knows maybe buffadin will be good.
there has been so many strong cards and amazing synergies added so far, i dont know what people are complaining about honestly, lost in the jungle + tarim alone is going to be a huge swing in tempo no matter how good their board state is, and paladin get a class only sludge belcher, hydrologist even without murlocs is an amazing 2 drop that is relevant late game. Oh did you want to just faceroll to rank 5? then you are in the wrong forum

I think you are quite optimistic, lets take a closer look to your answer.
1. Tarim + lost in the jungle: OK, it is a turn 7 combo, or best case scenario, turn 5 lost in the jungle turn 6 Tarim (it will never happen that your opponent doesnt kill the 1/1). Weak 2 card 7 mana combo, rofl. Also, turn 6-7 combo, very usefull vs pirate warrior, good job buffing those pirates.
2. The "new" Sludge belcher. It is kinda nice, yeah. But it is turn 6, the same problem of the last "combo". Also, you NEED something to buff, if you have NOTHING it is a turn 7-8 combo. Seems like too late.
3. Hydrologist gives decent value, but it is a weak card to play for tempo in turn 2, and many paladin secrets are awfull. You say it is a good late game card, well yeah, good luck playing late game vs pirate warrior or beating jade golems in late game.
4. I dont want to faceroll. I just want paladin to get some decent 1-2 drops again, so the minions stick around and the Buff archetype is not a tier 5 deck.
Saying that paladin has "nothing to complain about" is like not looking the full picture. Do you really think paladin will have a tier 2 deck? I dont think so, maybe mid tier 3 at best. Feelsbadman
Paladin's problem isn't aggro. You can beat the aggro decks of the current format with any decent handbuff list, since you get all tools to stop aggro and win afterwards.
The problem is beating good value cards that generate an amazing mid-late game, since you can't follow up with constant pressure. Jade theme and Reno decks keep pushing with no way for the paladin to pressure them enough to overcommit. Reno will be out of the equation, so we just need to see the entire meta, in order to assess how the Jades will do.
Also, keep in mind that given the current situation, we can't get worse :)
I dont understand why when Paladin players want good standalone cards, we get called out for wanting "curvestone". I just want good cards I can play reliably without any gimmicks or combos.

Paladin dead before G&G, have your reign of terror in TGT release and never see a Tier 1 deck when standard mode begins.
