Hello Hearthpwn users, I would like some help with my hearthstone hunter deck, I dont have very many special cards, but you can see those below.
I have been playing for about 3 days now, and when I play in masters I usually get beat by tons of removal decks, and my hand either depletes to topdecking, or I have a hand full of minions and I'm lucky to have any removal in my hand to deal with their minions.
I've been realizing these issues, and have been trying to change the deck to deal with that, so I threw in a loot hoarder to help with card draw, I left one tracking in the deck, but from my experience these dont help with card draw at all, they just allow you to pick one card from the top three of your deck, and throw away the others. I've been noticing issues where I have games with only 1 or 2 spells picked up, and so I've been trying to keep a balance between the amount of minions in my deck compared to the number of spells.
Another problem I have is in the early game, I dont have very much experience with CCGs (I've never played magic.), but I see my opponent playing really healthy creatures in the beginning, and I find myself waiting for the right combo of beast cards. For example, waiting till turn 2 to play my timber wolf+stonetusk boar combo which usually allows me to kill a 2 health minion, but I dont always have both of those at the beginning. Okay, while typing this, I think I've noticed another problem with the deck, maybe its the amount of 1 cost minions I have, but if I add anymore 1 cost cards, wouldnt my deck have too many 1 cost cards??
Finally, I havent read any strategy guides or information about playing hunter, so maybe I've built the deck incorrectly, if so, please provide info on the ways of hunting. Thanks! :)
It used to be quite strong, but is now not really viable, as you tend to have too many secrets in hand and not enough beasts, and when you do, you cant get out cool synergies.
I used this deck quite a bit, and being able to one shot your opponent is fun, but if you didn't pull the right cards you got obliterated against rush down decks.
This deck is basically just how many beasts can I stick in one deck. I don't use the stonetusk boar or the dragonhawk because three classes can hero power to kill it. Just how I feel about one health minions. You basically have minions on the field every turn and many people, priests especially, blow good removal on your creatures just for another to appear. The savannah highmane is there for late game beastmode (haha), and the gladiators bow is there for direct removal or big damage. Also, If I get Mukla I will probably put him in, just for fun (he counts as a beast =D )
Surprisingly enough, the third deck has actually had the most success. It is good against control decks and can still be used as a rush down with unleash the hounds or defend against rush down with the kodo, houndmaster etc.
In terms of your deck, you should definitely scrap the eaglehorn bow and explosive trap, its not worth it for one secret. Also, the windfury harpy, reckless rocketeer and gurubashi should probably be removed. Card draw is not necessary if you have two starving buzzards and enough beasts. All in all, imo, with Hunter, more beasts equals better, as long as you have beast synergy cards.
Anyway, let me know if this helped you. Thanks, Biscutbeck
I understand your view on 1 cost minions, but when I play, I love being able to use the stonetusk boar in combination with hunters mark to take down huge minions with taunt (or no taunt, but I find myself using it on taunts more often than not.). As for the young dragonhawk, I just threw that in with the deck so that I have a cheap way to spam minions onto the field, and still synergize well with timber wolf/scavenging hyena or starving buzzard.
Also, I'd like to point out that I've only opened about 4 card packs, so I dont have very many cards to use for "focused" decks, like the secret one you've shown. Thanks!

Anyway, enough random blabbing, here is the deck:
Also, I am thinking about making these changes below:

Hey Tewesday! I have had quite some experience with hunter now being about level 26, and I have noticed a few things.
Firstly, the "meta" (ie. most common decks) that I see in masters tend to be rush down decks or late game priest decks.
So, knowing this, there are three options to hunter decks:
Firstly, the hunter secret deck:

Secondly, the Miracle Hunter Deck: http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/9792970274

Finally, my current hunter deck:

Thanks for the help Biscuit, I've taken what you've said into account and have adapted my deck accordingly.

Thanks for the kind words about my post. Hunters can be very strong if played correctly!
