Because it's highrolly and insanely easy to counter if you want to. Playing against also doesn't feel oppressive, unless they get the most insane opener. Vs Shaman, it always felt oppressive and basically like a loss from the very first turn. Quit nagging and let other classes be #1 for once. Soon enough something else will take over again, simply because this deck isn't as good as people believe it is.
Try using some aggro. Actually won almost every match with Embiggen Druid with Galakrond Zoo Warlock - removed Scarab Egg & Knife Juggler for Serpent Egg and Dire Wolf Alpha, may also tech Spellbreaker.
And still we didn't receive whole card package yet with at least one bonkers card for Warlock (Frenzied Felwing - if you drop Flame Imp on T1 and Dire Wolf Alpha on T2 you get 4/2, 2/2 and 4/3 on T2).
You can’t change anything until after the solo adventure cards are fully released. Even then I think this is a deck that will come and go on its own. Having played previous versions of Embiggen, it’s not a lot of fun if you can’t draw your Embiggens and quite beatable at that point. That’s a very different feeling to Shaman, Warrior, and Rogue where it feels like anything you draw is great and will make an immediate impact.
I imagine after the adventure is fully out, we’ll still see this deck but not nearly as much.
Sure, let's nerf a deck which sports a ~55-56% win rate (starting from around 50% four days ago) just because you're unable to counter-queue. Also, let's forget that said archetype relies on drawing specific cards early on or their advantage (remember Keleseth?) goes out the window.
Because there's nothing fucking wrong with it. Jesus christ, stop whinging about every single deck that even remotely starts to show the smallest amount of strength.
It's getting tiring.
It's been tiring since I started playing the game and visiting the forums. Don't know how these lot don't see that there is literally always something they want nerfed. You nerf that and it gets replaced by something else, which they then want to be nerfed as well. Rinse and repeatThen the rotation happens and the se people complain that the game is boring and the cards are weak. I've not used the druid deck but I've eaten it for breakfast with priest That same deck struggles against others though, nothing is strong against absolutely everything and several decks having one or two decks they are weak against helps keep the meta varied.
Embiggen Druid is slow, inconsistent and easy to counter. It's a pretty sub-optimal deck if they don't draw their Embiggens early. And it loses to any Control deck with a decent amount of big target removal.
The only reason why it is so dominant now is because it is taking advantage of a meta that is favourable to it. Once it becomes too popular, more people will start playing decks and/or teching in cards that counter it, which will push down its win rate.
Completely untrue other than it being slow.. to a point. It can win very quickly if it gets it's large minions out quickly, which is possible. I've won on turn 8.
It is consistent if you make it to turn 6 as that is when the fun starts for Embiggen Druid.
I have won many games without getting Embiggens as the taunts and minions are hard hitting even without getting ramped up.
It eats up control decks as they run out of removals. Embiggen has a lot of large minions and discovers a couple more. It loses to well played aggro if they can win by turn 5. It loses to Quest Rez Priest cause that deck just has far too many heals and effective taunts to stop big minions as well as removal. Rez Priest is what needs to be nerfed.
Facing Embiggen druid 40% of all my games. I have asked many streamers who are not legend, but laddering from 10-1 And everyone is running into druids over 35%. HS replay states it should be 25% but that's not our experience.
its a stupid deck and it's not even that good, but their high roll: Embiggen, Strenght of numbers and a breath of dreams! They seem to get the NUTS all the time, beating skillfully decks, with no brain plays is ruining all the fun on the ladder for me.
I know some druid lovers will bash me for this post, and yes I have tried playing this deck myself and its not even fun to play with. The win rate isn't out of control I'm aware of that, but I still hope it gets addressed asap. Super buffed minions that get played on board by pulling them out of your deck for no mana costs at all and then not even being able to get targeted by a spell. That's NOT fun in so many ways. People think, ooh this looks easy, let's play that stupid deck and that's why you see it all over the ladder at the moment.
