Mulligan Guide: Sun Raider Phaerix can be annoying because you have to Silence AND destroy his Rod of the Sun, unless you want to run into complications down the road. Shadow Word: Pain is not a bad card to start with so you can take care of the Rod.
He starts hitting you right away with his enhanced Rod of the Sun, which gains +3/+3 while it's in his possession. Ideally it's great to be able to hold out until turn 4 and drop a Mass Dispel so you can start working on destroying the Rod, but you may not be able to wait that long. If you start getting low on Health it's nice to keep in mind that Priest of the Feast can allow you to gain back a ton of life.
Tar Creeper can be great for this deck, especially if you are able to put Velen's Chosen on it. You'll want to make sure you don't overextend and keep an eye on your minion's Health because he has 2 Flamestrike in his deck and won't hesitate to play them if you have anything remotely threatening on the board.
You should hang on to the Acidic Swamp Ooze for his Arcanite Reaper and the Stubborn Gastropod is great at diving in front of his Weapons or sacrificing itself for one of his larger minions. As long as you can take out his Rod of the Sun then you should be alright.
This is a fairly cheap deck, but if you need to substitute anything you should probably try something else that can Silence or has Taunt. If you're rather try a different deck you can check out my suggestions below.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get this deck to work. I was always behind on board and could never recover. I ended up winning with another deck that just buffed a Deathlord's health and let all of his minions and weapons bounce off of it.
