Used this deck to climb on legend ladder and it works surprisingly well in the current meta (mostly mages and druids). It plays like a midrange deck that fights for board from turn 1 on + its very flexible on lategame because of Lyra the Sunshard and Elise the Trailblazer (as you can save Shadow Visions in slow matchups and get 3 elisepacks).
Current rank:
Upvote for Mulligan, Matchups ,etc.
Gameplay video from kiwiinbacon for you folks :
Maybe up until rank 10, but adding Lyra synergy will get you to rank 5 and above.
Any replacements for one shadow vision and Elise?
I'm having a different experience with Fire Plume and consider it to be the strongest performing card over 15-20 games from rank 5 to 4. It is incredibly useful for swinging the tempo in games against Aggro Druid/ PW/Aggro Shaman where otherwise you're just hoping to draw auch circle by 4 or live to cast Dragonfire potion and you get clocked by an Arcanite Reaper to 4 health on turn 5 bc you didn't have a Plume to protect your Tar Creeper.
Very smart deck and very efficient. Went 14-4 from Rank 5 to rank 4 and some stars. I love the fact that's it capable of just straight tempo'ing out quest rogue and killing them by turn 8 or so. I'm also very surprised with Stoneshaper as a card. I thought it just flat sucked when I tried in in Ele Shaman but it really fits with priest and PWS.
Why single Holy Nova when you can pick Dragonfire Potion ?
Feels like Dragonfire Potion works better (maybe 'cause game after I added it I matched up against quest rouge '^^)
I haven't tested Dragonfire, personally.. but Holy Nova just saved my bacon a minute ago vs. a deck with a load of low health minions after they tried clearing my board. After my next turn they conceded.
Dragonfire would work as well, but my board would've been wiped along with it. Because of that, I understand the value of Holy Nova over Dragonfire Potion. It may be dramatically weaker in strength but it allows board wipe vs. weak cards while not clearing your own board.
On top of that, Northshire Clerics help a ton with that card as well.
Why remove whole board when you can get rid of only your opponent's side? This deck has good enough early game for holy nova to be good here because youll prolly have some minions to trade up aswell.
Also holy nova has very good syenrgy with clerics.
Don't understand how this deck can work in current meta. 0-5 at this moment.
Depends on where in the ladder you're at, and how you play the deck. I'm at rank 10 and the deck seems moderately successful at that rank.
I'm at rank 5 and it's sadly didn't works.
Replacement for Harrison Jones?
Harrison is for card draw and to counter pirate warrior. Consider subbing in a acidic swamp ooze if you're worried about weapons. Or you could sub in a loot hoarder or coldlight oracle if you want more draw. You'll have to experiment!
Any of the oozes I'm sure, was just thinking about that not sure I see enough weapons to justify it.
Fire plume is pretty useless I think. Should I add blazecallers or sth?
Fire plume isn't useless, its just weak. I subbed them out for Blazecallers. We'll see if that makes a difference. Also considering subbing a Tol'vir Stoneshaper for a dragonfire potion.
