Warning: Very draw dependent. You can win some games very easily, while others you get screwed by RNG and end up feeling bummed out.
I am very thankful for all of the feedback and support!
update: Replaced 1 Ethereal Conjurer with 1Spellbender as it seems there needs to be a bit more consistency with secret draws and 2 Ethereal Conjurers seem a bit too slow

Shoutout to kiwiinbacon for this showcase!
Overview: This deck is all about using your secrets to fake out your opponents . If you are able to use your secrets in the correct way, you will be able to force your opponent into playing into them, allowing you gain a huge advantage.
Mulligan
Try to mulligan for Kabal Lackey, Babbling Book, or any secret.
Cards
Babbling Book: good one drop, can give you useful spells as well as secrets
Kabal Lackey: great card to play along with secrets, also turn one playable with a secret in hand
Mana Wyrm: great turn one card. Very powerful when combined with secrets or other early spells
Frostbolt: Versatile card, can use for early removal, or save for face
Medivh's Valet: Solid two drop, even without a secret in play, can be saved for midgame with a secret in play, for removal or face damage
Arcane Intellect: This deck runs out of cards in hand fast, so this is one of the only ways to replenish your hand, only use on turns 5+, as you cannot afford to play this and skip turn 3
Counterspell: Great secret, try to put pressure on the board to force your opponent to play a removal spell, only for them to realize that you have this in play
Mirror Entity: Probably the best secret to play in conjunction with Kabal Lackey, or Kirin Tor Mage. Pretty simple, just hope that your opponent doesn't play around it
Potion of Polymorph: Similar to Mirror Entity, this card can be very drastic to your opponent if they play into it. Only play on turn 3+, as you do not normally want to polymorph 1 or 2 drops
Ethereal Arcanist: If you have a secret in play when you play this card, it becomes a "must kill" for your opponent, or it forces them to play into your secret in order to halt this card's ability
Fireball: Solid removal, or face damage. Preferably face, as you normally kill your opponent with burst damage from your spells
Ethereal Conjurer: Solid 5 drop. Has a decent body and you can get a variety of useful spells from it for many different situations
Kabal Crystal Runner: One of the biggest minions on the deck, is very good even if you have played only 1 secret so far, as it would be a 5/5 that costs 4
Pyroblast: Great finisher. Normally you will not be able to kill your opponent without the aid of spells, and this is the most powerful in the deck. Make sure you use it when you have minions on the board as well
Azure Drake: Solid 5 drop, gives spell damage which is very helpful for your spells, as well as card draw, which is needed in this type of aggressive deck.
Ice Block: Decent by itself, can get great value when used with Medivh's Valet, Ethereal Arcanist, or Kabal Crystal Runner
Spellbender: Protects your minions who are on the board. Also can't be baited with The Coin
Possible Replacements
very nice deck dude a lot fun pirate warrios dont except that dec !!!!!!
Yeah no problem mate! you can use the video in the deck description if you like.
Ok so I'm fairly new to the game (started 2 weeks ago), but that said this is one heck of a fun deck. Just got to rank 18 and the last four matches were all early concedes, seriously? Obviously quite RNG dependent versus the matchup (what deck isn't), and got totally destroyed very quickly by some, but overall so much fun. Much more entertaining to play than reno, temp, or freeze decks (in IMHO) currently. Kudos!
So after writing this I literally lost 6 games in a row, talk about a roller coaster ride. :(
Dang, sorry to hear that
It's probably just me still being new, but there are some really crazy decks to go up against right now and it seems like I either get lucky and don't get matched with them for a while or that's all I see for a while. This last game I just had, not sure how to counter having a murloc up at 2, then they put down this summon 5 1/1 murlocs at 3, followed by an opener on 4 to give all murlocs +2/+2. That's just a ton of damage to the face! Heeh.
Had to share this, just epic! :) Last game, against a mage, really good deck but I finally got him where I wanted, 1 hp left and popped his ice block, I still had 2 fireballs in my had for the next turn to finish him off and had my block still in place. He had no cards left and some minions on the board. Ok so I end my turn, he draws, apparently got reno and healed from 1 to 30... wow, totally lost at that point. Can't wait for that reno card to go out of date next month. I'm sure y'all had similar games, just nuts when that kind of luck happens. :)
You started 2 weeks ago, but have you tried all of the other ones? I mean you are fairly new, and those decks require expansions.
You're saying that they are more entertaining to play, but I don't think you've tried them all. I'm not trying to promote other decks.
I was only meaning mage decks there, and I'm sure there are plenty of variants I haven't tried yet. I guess I meant that once I played this deck it felt a lot more entertaining than the others, just because it feels like every game is very dynamic and different based on how the secrets play out and when you get them. On the contrary, as an example playing a freeze mage (yes I know it's not popular in current meta) is always pretty much the same rotation. So I guess take my noobish commentary with a grain of salt for sure! :)
fun ass deck!
I dusted a gold Kirin because I've never used her in a deck. Looks like a fun deck since I'm at rank 18 right now.
I love a good Mage deck...gonna give this one a shot. Thanks for posting!
EDIT: welp, nevermind lol!
6-0 right now, started at rank 13, this deck is sick.
Kinda hard to play i guess, but with the required experience and knowledge you destroy the meta right now!
Thanks a lot for sharing
Good deck Rank 20-14 win streak Eu
Every dragon priest I've gone against so far I've destroyed with this deck.
Fun deck, but not for ladder. Very random.
Was gonna ask about Inkmaster Solia but it ended up I forgot it has same restrictions as Reno.. Nice deck!
A month ago or so I played against a guy who was using a similar deck, although he was running Avian Watcher. Thoughts on that card in this kind of deck?
Not OP but play secret mage decks a lot. The avian watcher is super good in midrange metas but in aggro not so much so it depends on what you are playing against.
