Warning: Very draw dependent. You can win some games very easily, while others you get screwed by RNG and end up feeling bummed out.
I am very thankful for all of the feedback and support!
update: Replaced 1 Ethereal Conjurer with 1Spellbender as it seems there needs to be a bit more consistency with secret draws and 2 Ethereal Conjurers seem a bit too slow

Shoutout to kiwiinbacon for this showcase!
Overview: This deck is all about using your secrets to fake out your opponents . If you are able to use your secrets in the correct way, you will be able to force your opponent into playing into them, allowing you gain a huge advantage.
Mulligan
Try to mulligan for Kabal Lackey, Babbling Book, or any secret.
Cards
Babbling Book: good one drop, can give you useful spells as well as secrets
Kabal Lackey: great card to play along with secrets, also turn one playable with a secret in hand
Mana Wyrm: great turn one card. Very powerful when combined with secrets or other early spells
Frostbolt: Versatile card, can use for early removal, or save for face
Medivh's Valet: Solid two drop, even without a secret in play, can be saved for midgame with a secret in play, for removal or face damage
Arcane Intellect: This deck runs out of cards in hand fast, so this is one of the only ways to replenish your hand, only use on turns 5+, as you cannot afford to play this and skip turn 3
Counterspell: Great secret, try to put pressure on the board to force your opponent to play a removal spell, only for them to realize that you have this in play
Mirror Entity: Probably the best secret to play in conjunction with Kabal Lackey, or Kirin Tor Mage. Pretty simple, just hope that your opponent doesn't play around it
Potion of Polymorph: Similar to Mirror Entity, this card can be very drastic to your opponent if they play into it. Only play on turn 3+, as you do not normally want to polymorph 1 or 2 drops
Ethereal Arcanist: If you have a secret in play when you play this card, it becomes a "must kill" for your opponent, or it forces them to play into your secret in order to halt this card's ability
Fireball: Solid removal, or face damage. Preferably face, as you normally kill your opponent with burst damage from your spells
Ethereal Conjurer: Solid 5 drop. Has a decent body and you can get a variety of useful spells from it for many different situations
Kabal Crystal Runner: One of the biggest minions on the deck, is very good even if you have played only 1 secret so far, as it would be a 5/5 that costs 4
Pyroblast: Great finisher. Normally you will not be able to kill your opponent without the aid of spells, and this is the most powerful in the deck. Make sure you use it when you have minions on the board as well
Azure Drake: Solid 5 drop, gives spell damage which is very helpful for your spells, as well as card draw, which is needed in this type of aggressive deck.
Ice Block: Decent by itself, can get great value when used with Medivh's Valet, Ethereal Arcanist, or Kabal Crystal Runner
Spellbender: Protects your minions who are on the board. Also can't be baited with The Coin
Possible Replacements
well it's great for mage card quests
Pyroblast can't be right.
it is one of the main win conditions of the deck
I'm playing a version of this deck without the Pyroblast (still at fairly low level) but it seems like the deck finishes off opponents just fine without. I think one of the big things about the deck is it's orientation towards tempo, you should capitalize on that with arcane blast (which I run 2 copies of in my deck) as well as another azure drake and bloodmage. This makes a huge difference because you are able to clear out their early game threats, which allows cards like Mana Wyrm to steam roll their face. the spell damage combo as well as the draw into your secrets helps as well.
I really think your win condition is in the secret synergy, which generates tempo and develops boards that people have a hard time answering (crystal runner & archanist), especially with 2 counter spells that really punish AOE plays (that are quite common at the moment). Worst match up seems to be pirate warrior, just because of lack of answers on a fairly normal draw by them. but honestly I think running a second conjurer is likely better than pyroblast (gives you the chance to discover a relevant card in the mid-game, which may or may not be a pyroblast/secret etc.) it's just a much more flexible card.
There have been countless times where its a bit clutch with my Ice Block on and they are at 8 health, but I draw the Pyroblastand/or have it in my hand.
Nice and fun to play deck, BUT can't survive against aggro at all. Also had trouble with Jade shaman once. Really depends on how you utilize your secrets. Definitely lacks AOE, I'll maybe try to add at least Volcanic Potion because both Babbling Book and Ethereal Conjurer are too inconsistent.
It's a fun deck to play! but too inconsistent to work for everybody... but if it was, it wouldn't be fun to play :)
To be honest I wouldn't say this deck is all that great. I've tried it on ladder for about a day now and basically the lack of consistency makes RNG the determining factor for winning games.
I'm very confused as how people aren't doing well with this? I'll be honest it's not a deck that will perform as the tier 1s do but is still very versatile in the hands of a good pilot, it is draw dependant but the better the player the better the win ratio and understanding of the deck. Rank 18 to 8 today 3 hours played, very grindy in terms of ranking up but possible and fun.
Sorry, like the idea, but it's just not a good deck. I've messed around with secret decks since beta and this one just doesn't do well right now. Very card dependent is an understatement, like god draw dependent. Just don't even find it fun to pilot because you're stuck praying to get the exact card you need.
Feed the downvotes all you want, you know I'm right.
Agreed. 6 1-drops and no on-curve 2 drops makes this so unreliable.
It was 5-0 until I got a layer of murlodins in ranked. It's a very enjoyable deck still!
I might make some changes to make a bit more control-ish, but I like the deck, plus I am just missing some rares.
Fresh meat for any aggro-decks.
what about 1 or 2 Avian Watcher?
it's good against aggro, I would recommend swapping one Ethereal Conjurer for it
I have one Avian Watcher instead of one copy of Kabal Crystal Runner, seems good, and can't be removed by priest's Shadow Word: Death. Also, Effigy instead of Spellbender (don't wanna craft it, saving dust for the expansion), and Polymorph for one Ethereal Arcanist to remove some fat taunts/deathrattles
And I would not recommend to remove Ethereal Conjurer, you can get more secrets or burst spells for your opponent's face (plus 6 dmg body). Trying this deck first day and have pretty smooth run from 20 to 14, you just need to feel how to play this (my way is very aggro style)
I've played against this deck 5 times as aggro & control and haven't lost yet, why are people playing this?
