In the December 2016 season, I played exclusively Malygos Shaman from Rank 8 to Legend in Wild. This is the current iteration of the deck I'm using. I have a 63% winrate with the deck currently.
I hope you enjoy the deck! It's definitely effective in the current Wild meta, with favorable matchups against Pirate Warrior, Renolock, and Priest.
Chillinon has hit Legend rank with a similar Malygos Shaman deck in the January 2017 season. Check out his comprehensive guide here:

Hallazeal the Ascended is a key component of this deck, as he provides massive burst heal when combined with board clears, often returning you to full heath. Jinyu Waterspeaker, however, would be a suitable replacement if you don't have Hallazeal. However, as Jinyu doesn't heal nearly as much as Hallazeal, I would consider adding a second one to compensate. I would replace Barnes, as having 2 extra minions in the deck lowers his consistency by quite a bit.
I'M ABSOLUTELY LOVING THIS DECK!
Demolishing the wild ladder with it, tried a few Casual games and then took it out for a walk in ranked mode going 8-1 from rank 13-11.
Thanks, great to hear you're having so much success with this deck.
LOVE. THIS. DECK!
Crafting Ancestor's call was well worth it :D
Thanks, glad you're enjoying it.
Is far sight necessary?
As with any combo deck, this deck requires a substantial amount of card draw. Unfortunately, there are a limited amount of card draw options available to the Shaman class. Far Sight is decent in this deck because it's a 0-mana card draw if it hits one of the 18 cards in the deck that costs 3 or more, and a 1-mana draw if it hits a 2-mana spell, and 1 mana is generally what a card draw is worth anyway. The only drawback is the possibility that Far Sight hits a Frost Shock or Lightning Bolt that would get discounted by Emperor Thaurissan anyway.
To answer your question, Far Sight can be replaced with Mana Tide Totem as a card draw engine. I've tried Mana Tide Totem in this deck, and I prefer Far Sight for two reasons. First, Mana Tide is unlikely to survive to draw more than 1 card, as this deck run very few minions to protect it. Second, Mana Tide Totem is a 3-cost minion, and its presence in the deck diminishes the consistency of Healing Wave. Being able to consistently heal for 14 for 3 mana is a large part of the reason why this deck has a favorable matchup against aggro.
Thanks.
Mulligans depend on the matchup. Board clears are kept against aggro matchups. For Warrior in particular, I would keep Healing Wave, as Pirate Warrior is the most popular matchup on ladder currently, and Control Warrior isn't usually a winnable matchup anyway. Against slower classes like Priest, I normally look for card draw in the mulligan. Feral Spirit is a card I like to keep regardless of the matchup; it's in the deck specifically to counter aggro, and while it doesn't do much in control matchups, it's never going to be more useful than on turn 3.
This looks fun, is [card]Ancestor's Call[/card] really needed ? That's the only card I don't have. I guess it is, dropping Malygos for 4 mana must be awesome.
Yes, Ancestor's Call is the second most essential card to the combo, next to Malygos himself. The ability to play Malygos for a huge discount is the main reason why this deck exists in the first place. Without Ancestor's Call, it would require a huge Emperor discount on Malygos and multiple burst spells, or a lucky Barnes in order to pull off the burst combo.
Yep I tried with Thalnos instead, but ended up crafting [card]Ancestor's Call[/card]. Man this deck is so cool. It's so fun watching opponents losing time dealing with your crappy totems thinking they need to control the board and just drop that Malygos for 4 and go for a burst of 40+ damages. I almost OTK a control warrior with full health and 20 armor, just missing by 1.
Secret Paladins and Jade Druids are impossible to win though.
You were able to succeed that well with only 6 minions? Didnt all the pirate warrior and rogues eat you up? It's like if you don't have heal in your hands, or immediate removal then its gg
I think a large part of my success with this deck is due to its favorable matchup against Pirate Warrior, which is by far, my most prevalent matchup. I'm currently 44-28 against Warrior this season, and that's including an abysmal 1-9 record (or something like that) against Control Warrior. Most of the burst spells used for the combo can be liberally used as removal against aggro decks, as the win condition is simply surviving until they run out of steam. In addition, Healing Wave will almost always heal for the full 14 health, as this deck is designed to win these jousts. Feral Spirit is in this deck mainly to tech against aggro, as it's not particularly useful against slower matchups.
