Ok. This deck is FUN.  Your opponents all think you are running regular old dragon priest and if they leave a minion out there - you buff it up and kill them.  I do not have stats for this deck as I mostly play on a mobile device.  With more time I'm sure it's able to go even higher.

Overview

The basic idea is to play normal dragon stuff - hold onto the hand buffs until you have a minion survive.  Then buff it up and win.  Your opponent will never see it coming.

The main reason to play Dirty Rat over Deathlord is because the Rat is cheaper and it only pulls a minion from their hand as opposed to their entire deck.

The Dirty Rat can also ruin your opponent's combo pieces which is very satisfying.

So I like playing Wild format and [card]Velen's Chosen[/card] fits the theme of this deck perfectly.  You can replace it if looking to play Standard format.

Against aggro the correct decision is usually to buff a taunt minion the turn it's played - you need to stay alive...

Card Choices and Explanations

Inner Fire ---- This is why you play this deck. It allows high health minions to become high attack minions.  It's usually best to surprise them and play on a creature that has survived a turn.

Northshire Cleric ---- Card draw and if you are facing aggro decks, keep this in your mulligan and throw it down turn 1.  You will not beat aggro with a big dragon but by controlling the board and heals.  They usually kill it on site anyway and that saves 3hp from face.

Power Word: Shield ---- Card cycle and boosts the health of your minion.  Good to combo with Inner Fire but also just for cycle.

Twilight Whelp ---- Cheap dragon activator that has strong stat line.  Sometimes hang onto it so you can activate other dragon synergies.

Dirty Rat ---- Ahhh this card is awesome.  I usually wait to play this until I have a Shadow Word: Death in hand - you don't want to lose the game on the spot.  This card has pulled key combo cards such as Reno JacksonJusticar Trueheart etc.  The other upside for this deck is the high health.  Combo this with Divine Spirit for a huge taunt wall for 4 manna.

Divine Spirit ---- Combo card and surprise factor of this deck.  This card alone allows you to cheese out wins when you had no other way to do so.

Netherspite Historian ---- Love this card. Being able to pick big late game dragons are game changing.

Shadow Word: Pain ---- Help control the board.  Against mage with a spell up, throw this first before Divine Spirit just in case it gets countered.

Wyrmrest Agent ---- In every dragon deck and the taunt is needed against aggro decks.

Shadow Word: Death ---- Kill big stuff

Velen's Chosen ---- The only Wild card in this deck at the moment but it provides huge bonus in keeping your minions alive or trade up for another turn.  Good synergy with Divine Spirit Inner Fire.  Replace this card if you want a standard version.  Dragons will be rotating out next set so you may as well play Wild anyway right?

Greater Healing Potion ---- Keeps you alive for another turn.  Perfect fit for this deck as you might need to stabilize when facing aggro.

Twilight Guardian ---- Big taunt dragon.  Necessary for optimal dragon decks.

Azure Drake ---- Everyone knows how good he is right?  Card draw, dragon, spell damage is good for this deck.

Blackwing Corruptor ---- Big tempo swing card that helps control the board.

Drakonid Operative ---- This card is nuts. It allows us to go toe-to-toe with other control decks by knowing what is still left in their deck and picking the best one for our needs.  The stat distribution on this card is also very good and usually survives a turn.

Holy Nova ---- This is better than Dragonfire Potion in my opinion because it is cheaper (good for aggro), heals your own minions (need them to stay alive for wombo combo), and doesn't damage your minions.  As this deck isn't a pure control deck, Holy Nova fits perfectly.

Ysera ---- Sometimes you can't get a minion to stick that's where this dragon comes into play.  Against Priest, it's an auto win as they have difficulties dealing with it.  The 12 hp is huge for our combo and it's a dragon.  Possible replacements would be other big dragons but Ysera is my favorite for this deck.
