So... this is just an ideer, which i found interesting. It is all about geting Patches the Pirate out, then use Gang Up on him. When you have tree or six of him in your deck, then play Southsea Captain.
You can use Shadowstep on your Leeroy Jenkins or Skycap'n Kragg, to deal some damage befor using Patches the Pirate combo.
You can use Shadowcaster on a lot of cards like Lotus Agents, SI:7 Agent, Southsea Captain, Refreshment Vendor or Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
Whenever I play a pirate deck I always play the song "He's A Pirate"
Me to :P
Nice idea! Please chek out my own list and take any idea from there!

Yeah I think having some turn 1 pirates could be a good thing for a deck like this. The interesting part about Patches is that there's potential for a "nuts" play. For instance, getting 2x gang-up and 2x preps in hand. You play this on the first Patches you summoned. Your hand is pretty much empty but any time you play a pirate, you swarm the board with 6 Patches. For your opponent to deal with this they'd need consistent aoe. You'd simply out last them in the early game and straight up win.
With the right set-up you can have 1 mana board clear/7 face damage. It's pretty crazy.
It lacks a good early game. You cannot rely on backstabs and SI agents to guarantee a good start these days, for there are so many 3-health minions, for mage, warlock, druid, shaman...
I think that even the high tempo of playing a southsea captain and getting a 2/2 charge is not actually enough.
I have played a lot of pirate decks, even used to get to rank 3 with it before old gods. The pirate cost 1 minions are very important. Problem would be: you put Patches ingame before you would want to!
Maybe turn 2+coin or turn 3 swashburglar/deckhand and gangup on patches would be quite effective.
Then you can follow-up with shady dealer before dropping another pirate to trigger effect. Also, there is no good drop-4 for pirates that would trigger Patches
That's actually really clever. I can't wait to see if it works out.
