*Update 3* Finished Oct 2016 season at 5 after subbing -1 Bash -1 Violet Illusionist, both were originally for the high volume of weapon trades i was having to make, but +2 Frothing Berserker is making a bigger threat on the board, though going to experiment using only 1 and +1 Skycap'n Kragg

*Update 2* 10/21/2016 Up to 5 now, seeing a lot less control and a lot more midrange now, not sure if all the control warriors have made it higher or the midrange shamans just took over. Made changes -1 Wolfrider -1 Blood To Ichor +2 Bash for added board control or extra face damage for lethal bypassing taunts. Had many games where i was in lethal range with weapon, and bam 2 Thing from Below, the added spell cards are helping.

*Update* This deck is admittedly shite vs. anything control, stagnated at rank 8 where 75% of my matchups in current meta are control. Still a fun deck and good for quick climbs if meta is kind on control matchups.

First deck + guide here, please go easy on me. I know this deck isn't new and inspiring, but i molded some of the current pirate decks to what felt better to me for faster gameplay.

No i have not hit legend with this, but it is a fun deck and had a fast climb from 20 to 8 with roughly 75% win rate and I'll continue pushing with it.

General play goes something like this: Turns 1-3 gain board control with weapons, go face with minions. Turns 4 through 6 you should have majority board control, go all face even if they still have something out and let them do the trading. Turns 7 and 8 you should have lethal by now, if not you better hope you draw it quick.

Mulligans: Without coin - Fiery War Axe, N’Zoth’s First Mate, any 2-3 mana minion.
With coin - N’Zoth’s First Mate, Southsea Deckhand, any 2 mana drop. Drop N’Zoth’s First Mate, coin out Southsea Deckhand.
When facing Shaman, always keep a Heroic Strike for Totem Golem

Why no card draw? This is aggro, wasting time on either of those makes you go too slow. By the time you need to draw cards, you should have already won the game. By turn 5 or 6 you should already have done 15ish face damage and have enough weapon, spell, charge, minion damage to go lethal 7-8.

Sir Finley Mrrgglton what to pick? If you notice you’re on the backend of where you should be on damage or board control, take Warlock and pray your draws save you. It has on many occasions for me. Otherwise pick Hunter>Mage/Druid>Paladin>Shaman

Worst matchups, I auto concede these if I can’t get lethal by turn 8-9.
Control Warrior – lay the pressure on hard before Justicar Trueheart. These guys are usually pretty slow to start, so take full advantage of that and face, face, face. If Trueheart gets dropped, probability of success plummets dramatically.
Control Priest – turn 5 AoE tends to turn the tide fast, top that with massive heals, you’ll find yourself on the back end of damage for lethal.
Freeze Mage – Freeze effects, lots of removals, just not a fun matchup unless you get god draws vs their poor draws.

Meta I encountered was very midrange hunter and shaman heavy, this tears through both of those faster than they can establish a board.

Blood To Ichor don’t be afraid to use to give yourself another body, even if damaging one of your own minions. You’ll be doing a lot of face with minions, so the more the better.

N’Zoth’s First Mate early synergy for Bloodsail Cultist, gives you an early clear for most 1 drops, don’t underestimate every 1 bit of face damage either.

Sir Finley Mrrgglton get yourself a faster hero power

Southsea Deckhand charge synergy, face, face, face

Upgrade! synergy for face, face, face

Bloodsail Raider don’t be afraid to drop it without a buff if you’re establishing board presence. It’s easy to feel the need to hold everything, but you have to move fast with this deck. If you can get it decently buffed, it tend to become a priority target for removal, so a free “taunt”.

Faerie Dragon many other pirate decks are using Huge Toad or Flame Juggler to fill their 2 spots, but I found Faerie Dragon has a longer lasting impact since it avoids most early removals. I’d rather get one hit in than the 1 damage tick from the other cards.

Fiery War Axe early board clear, but don’t be afraid to go face when you can. Try not to use last charge unless you can replace the weapon next turn.

Heroic Strike really good for early annoying trades, like Totem Golem and clearing out any big taunts combined with your weapon. Otherwise face, face, face!

Bloodsail Cultist synergy for face, face, face. But don’t be afraid to play for board control even without the effect triggering.

Violet Illusionist for me this is just a tech card for survivability on trades and freebie warlock hero powers. Feel free to swap this out with anything from another Wolfrider to Hellscream if you really want him.

Wolfrider face, face, face

Dread Corsair Value play all day for board control

Kor’kron Elite face, face, face

Mortal Strike face, face, face

Arcanite Reaper face, face, face

Leeroy Jenkins Lethal face, face, face

Gorehowl despite it’s intent for minion clearing, you’re more than likely going to use this for lethal.

Tech swaps I made depending on how the meta was treating me, these three cards were interchangeable in value depending on what I was facing. Can double up on or omit any.Acidic Swamp Ooze,Violet Illusionist,Wolfrider

Why no Hellscream? You don’t have an easy means to damage him for enrage, better off with damage consistency on Leeroy or face Gorehowl.

Sorry for the ugly formatting, I wrote this in a rush.
