Very fun deck. Lost the first 5 games in a row with it since I couldn't draw a single Barnes. But I did manage to survive until turn 10 against a face hunter using only spells which was pretty surprising.
Then on the sixth game I finally drew Barnes. My opponent was a Druid but he actually had Mulch before I could get the gang up so I lost instantly! Then on game 7 I finally got 4 Y'Sharrj out, it was awesome!
Awful deck.
Haha thank you for this deck! played it in standard for laughs and it worked the first time vs that beast druid deck thats been on the ladder of late. smoked him he was probably shitting his pants when there was 5 Y'shaarjs on the table.
I'm really surpirsed nobody did the math on this but here it goes (This ignores mulligans and assumes you keep the coin to play Barnes. If you go second and you don't keep the coin, the odds of the combo go down significantly because you have to draw an extra card before you hit 4 mana, which means you have an extra chance to draw into Y'shaarj and ruin the combo) (The odds of pulling off the combo increases slightly, assuming you draw into Barnes, when you play druid because of cards like wild growth and innervate, however you will not be able to use gang up to get more copies of Y'shaarj)
Barnes is the first card you draw (Odds of first card being Barnes, followed by each card you draw until you can play Barnes NOT being Y'shaarj):
1/30 x 28/29 x 27/28 x 26/27 x 25/26 x 24/25 x 23/24 = 23/870 = 2.6436781609195%
Barnes is the second card you draw:
29/30 x 1/29 x 27/28 x 26/27 x 25/26 x 24/25 x 23/24 = 23/840 = 2.67380952380952%
Barnes is the third card you draw:
29/30 x 28/29 x 1/28 x 27/28 x 26/27 x 25/26 x 24/25 = 23/810 = 2.8395061728395%
Barnes is the fourth card you draw:
29/30 x 28/29 x 27/28 x 1/27 x 25/26 x 24/25 x 23/24 = 23/780 = 2.948717...%
Barnes is the fifth card you draw:
29/30 x 28/29 x 27/28 x 26/27 x 1/26 x 24/25 x 23/24 = 23/750 = 3.06666...%
Barnes is the sixth card you draw:
29/30 x 28/29 x 26/27 x 25/26 x 1/25 x 23/24 = 23/720 = 3.194444...%
Barnes is the seventh card you draw:
29/30 x 28/29 x 27/28 x 26/27 x 25/26 x 24/25 x 1/24 = 23/690 = 3.3333...%
Average chances of pulling off the combo:
Not good. You would need to have a rouge deck that can win using only spells in order to actually climb ranks, and even then you might not. Sorry guys :/
"that doesnt make sense" me: neither do you
If you didn't saw the video/don't get satire or comedy.
Abstain yourself from commenting on this deck, otherwise you'll look like an idiot.
unplayable
Bad deck 10% winrate...
Hilarious when it works. Bad things happen though, like when you draw Y'Shaarj 5 times in a row inside turn 5. Or never seeing Barnes...
Extraordinary deck. Never thought I'd hit this rank again, but here I am back at 21.
works like 5% of the time!
If your looking for a more consistent version of this play style, then use this deck for current 'top 3' tavern brawl:
Y'shaarj, shadowstep, barnes.
shadowstep the barnes to play him multiple times on curve, works pretty good
I'm gonna be honest with you, this deck smells like pure gasoline.
Fun deck indeed but it fails 70% of the time
Works every time 40% of the time!
