Hi all. This is my Reno Mage decklist that I have been using to climb ladder. Made it to 3 with it last season using this deck exclusively from 17.

Slight variation to other Reno Mage list, notably Pyroblast (really helps as a finisher or to kill a big minion) and Yogg (and since then Medivh and Babbling book to try something different). This deck is extremely strong against aggro if you can mulligan right (and tech in anti-aggro cards), I will do a mulligan guide below.

This is the most fun I've had with a deck for a while so I hope you enjoy.

The currently edited deck is teched for playing control. As much as everyone keeps complaining about an aggro fest, I'm facing more control decks than anything else. Look in mulligans for a guide as to what to tech in for aggro.

Mulligans:

Generally against aggro: (and midrange though the early game isn't quite as important) you want to keep DoomsayerFrostboltReno JacksonIce BlockArcane BlastArcane Missiles and maaaaybe Frost Nova. Forgotten Torch can be ok as well but Frostbolt is better.

If you are struggling against aggro try tech in Twilight Flamecaller and Cult Sorcerer as they help with early game control. If you can get past 6 turns and you have Ice Block or Reno in hand your chance of winning goes up massively. Also if you are not getting these cards trying prioritize draw over play minions so you can get either Reno Jackson or Ice Block while controlling the board. Drop you Bloodmage Thalnos if you have to for a distraction.

For control you don't have to worry about early game as much, I found getting Elise Starseeker down early is always good. Otherwise try keep some card draw and board control. Generally try hang on to Reno Jackson or Ice Block as well so in case the opponent tries to burst you down. I have found Reno mage is pretty much favoured in most control matchups...maybe not against Yogg Druid or Heal Paladin but other than that most control matchups you should have the upper hand.

Matchups:

Midrange Hunter - Slightly Unfavoured (due to their potential for burst and sustain)

Aggro Hunter - Haven't played many but I assume the same as Aggro Shaman

Dragon Warrior - Slightly Favoured to Slightly Unfavoured depending on the opponents skill.

Control Warrior - Favoured

Aggro Shaman - Favoured if you mulligan right

Midrange Shaman - Same as midrange Warrior

Freeze Mage: Favoured

Healadin or Anyfin Paladin: Slightly Unfavoured

Reno Warlock: Favoured

Zoo: Favoured

Miracle and Thief Rogue: Favoured

Yogg Druid: Slightly Unfavoured

Beast Druid: Check midrange Warrior.

(Those are all the matchups I can think of for now. Let me know if I've missed anything)

Have fun, hope the new info helps and post comments and suggestions below!
