I really really wanted a reason to use Deathwing, Dragonlord so I whipped this up last night and it has surpassed my expectations. The trick is trying to mulligan for cards like Blackwing Technician and early board presence while keeping a close eye on the type of deck your opponent might be playing. The real secret to this deck's success is using Forbidden Healing and Lay on Hands to stabilize your hero's HP against Aggro/C'thun archetypes, or by playing your big threats and healing other dragons against Control. As with any deck, you have to be very careful of what's in your hand at all times and can drop a couple wins when drawing into dragons doesn't happen. I'm rushing through this description, but so far this is my most successful WotG decks.
If this deck gains some traction/interest, I'll do an in-depth guide for it. Currently 10-1!
Update: Now 18-4, still dominates everything except combo decks such as Rogue if healing doesn't get drawn, but otherwise an aggressive mulligan handles most archetypes on ladder.
I have been trying to use Deathwing as well. Just curious how often this deathrattle actally occurs and wins games. Always seems like it would take a very long game to get any value.
By the time I'm playing Deathwing, Dragonlord it's mainly for the body. I've been toying with just replacing it for Nefarian since the battlecry has much better value then replacing the board after DW dies. It's on my list of tweaks when I start to lose more games with it in my hand :)
I ended up Aldor'ing a Priest's DW this morning and it resulted in 3 stale turns of it attacking stuff to get itself killed, followed by me popping it then Equality + Consecration. It might be good in an N'zoth style deck but I'm really thinking Nef is the better option.
Dragon Pala all the way.
