Twitch.tv/vbsof
Edit: Will make a guide. Played to top 10 a few times on stream and #2 almost #1 off.
Holy shit, this deck is awesome. Completely crap on secret pallies. Went from rank 14 to 7 easily.
Not all sunshine here...
Unfortunately this deck seems to be really dependant on the initial draw. If you do not curve out perfectly, you will lose. Just the same as with most board control aggro decks. I have had sooo many games where despite aggressive mulligans the hand is filled with late-game minions and buff spells, while there is nothing to play for the first few turns. One Divine favor does not help a lot here. Another thing is the double mad scientist - I felt it was one too many with only two secrets. I replaced one with Coghammer, and it has helped somewhat. I also agree on Loatheb, it should be in here somewhere.
I played this deck from 12 to 10 on EU yesterday, then hit a brick wall and dropped back to 12. Will continue to test the deck out, but do not have really high hopes. Aggro shaman is too fast, true controls destroy the buffs easily.
Yes, this deck is absolutely limited. Getting top 10 legend rank is meaningless this early in the season. I am not even near semi-competitive and I have people on my friends list (also not even near competitive players) who get top 10 early in the month all the time. NONE of the competitive players are up there right now and the meta there is weird and meaningless.
That doesn't mean the deck is trash, but it does mean the deck is probably overrated. Egg pally in general has an INCREDIBLY difficult time coming back after losing board, which is it's major weakness. If you fight against Druids with Keeper (that silence + 2/4 body) and other classes that can fight early (zoo/secret pally), this deck can struggle.
You dont know what your talking about so just stop. This nonsense about no competitive players being up there is not true at all, in my experience it is the opposite. You say your self that your not even near semi-competitive. I am absolutely competitive considering i have played to #1 double digits and play to top 10 several times every month. This is what i think of the deck:
The deck isent the best in the game. Imo it is a very strong deck atm, but its not secret paladin. It completely destroyes certain arch, but also auto loses to other. If u want to play something new, but still viable then this is your best bet. However if you dont give a shit about what deck your playing and only care about sitting on #1 legend then this is not for you. It is also dependent on meta like all other decks in the game. If decks with 3+ aoes are common it will never work. If decks that play for board control including druid is common then its a good choice. Before i started playing this deck i was playing all the standard lists that all you guys are playing and i was stuck at rank 4. Then i picked up this deck and easily got legend. This is not a coincidence. I have played decks in the past that people said were incredible bad and they all recommended me to play a more standard variant. I have always been right in the past and the wierd archs i played ended up becoming the norm a few months later.
Mulligun guide please BibleThump
Add one defender of argus to replace one of the seal of champions
Just got back from playing 10 games in a row with this and my win rate was 9-1. The curve is PERFECT EVERY GAME
Yeah, and I played ten games where I did not have a one-drop during a single game, and most of the games the 2-drop was missing as well:) That's luck of the draw for you.
Can you write a quick guide on the deck and show legend proof? I like the deck, playing at rank 4 atm
Some players you don't need to ask about legend proofs and Xzirez is one of them.
It feels rock solid, fun and not unfair, subbed a Blessed Champion for the second muster that I don't have, with these many buffs anything that survives on your side could become a 5 to 20 damage bomb to close games faster, tested 8-1 and the loss was from consecutive misplays on my part, you get pretty interesting trap boards.
If u dropped from 8-14 then its not the deck but the player. At that rank you should be able to win with any decent deck.
Not at this time of the season...
My advice is not to play this deck. Egg pallies are completely dependent on maintaining board, otherwise you have no comeback mechanisms. This is partially the 'downside' for large buffs mechanics. In the current meta, maybe this works at high legend because of a VASTLY different meta, but for climbing ladder, I think most decks will contest early game and/or are druids who have strong silence mechanics.
There is just so many things wrong with this statement. First off the "meta" is different for everyone. What your facing is not what everyone else is facing. Secondly if you lose board with any midrange deck you lose the game. This deck similar to other decks like zoo and secret pala in that you will lose if you fall too far behind on board. This deck is made to beat secret pala, tempo mage, druid and zoolocks while also being able to win against freeze mage,cw,reno lock and aggor shaman a decent amount . I dont know what meta you are talking about bt its not the meta i am seeing or anyone else i talk to. Zoolock is also weak to silence, but is a top tier deck .
I like the look of this list, especially since there isn't a single Mysterious Challenger to be found...
I unfortunately don't have Sylvanas Windrunner or Tirion Fordring at this time but am considering some replacements (maybe Loatheb or Emperor Thaurissan for Sylvanas, with Kel'Thuzad or Arch-Thief Rafaam for Tirion?). I'm also probably going to drop an Aldor Peacekeeper in favor of a Coghammer since I personally find the 2nd peacekeeper is generally overkill unless facing a LOT of control decks.
Dr. Boom
why play shredder? Deck is based around buffing early drops to trade 2 for 1 and shredder would make the 4 mana slot overpopulated.
