Hey there,
I'm a multiple legend player on the EU-server. Druid is my main class, but i don't like to play these standard decklists everyone runs, so i decided to invent something new.
This season i piloted this deck to legend rank. I've played this deck only and didn't get bored at any time (of course i had to do some changes, to finally find the best list to run, but i think this it is), going with a record of 111 wins within 156 matches.
A big advantage is, that your plays are unpredictable for your opponent. The reason is simple, there is noone playing something familiar to this.
Of course it affords a lot of dust to play it, so maybe not everyone will run the same decklist. But i think playing Naga Sea Witch is worth a try. Maybe you have some nice ideas, too.
To play this deck successful:
I. You should know the meta with all their decks.
II. Practice a lot
III. Dont overextend if its not needed, especially against classes with massive boardclears like Warlock and Warrior. Same as Paladin and Priest, but Secret Pala usually doesn't play Equality and Priest hasLightbomb so you can put defensive minions on board like Ancient of War and Ysera.
Mulligan
Keep always: Innervate, Darnassus Aspirant, Wild Growth, Mounted Raptor, Living Roots
Keep always if you have Ramp: Piloted Shredder, Keeper of the Grove
Keep if you have Ramp and Coin: Naga Sea Witch
Paladin: Keeper of the Grove, Swipe
Warrior: Piloted Shredder, Harrison Jones
Rogue: Keeper of the Grove
Hunter: Keeper of the Grove, if you can ramp Harrison Jones
Warlock: Keeper of the Grove, Swipe, Big Game Hunter is okay to keep, when you see a lot of handlocks playing
Priest: Keeper of the Grove
Shaman: Keep all early game cards
Druid: Piloted Shredder
Mage: Keeper of the Grove, Swipe is okay
General Strategy:
I. Fight for boardcontrol
II. Try to ramp into your 4 drops and if possible into Naga Sea Witch
III. You have a lot of healing sources in your deck with the double Ancient of Lore and Alexstrasza. You also have dreamcards from Ysera to bounce your own battlecry minions, if needed.
IV. Against small minions you have Baron Geddon. He is kind of the MVP in this deck.
V. Aviana is a must have. She makes this deck way better, as you can put an immense pressure on your opponent by playing her after Naga Sea Witch and any other minion, cause they now cost just 1.
Synergies
Ysera - Dreamcards // Dream + Battlecry minions
Naga Sea Witch + Aviana // Minions now cost 1
Aviana + Innervate +Ancient of Lore // Leads to some sick turns.
// With more sets released i bet this deck is going to be even better.

Have fun.
what have you been doing with your life, golden everything!!!!!!
Try throwing a Recombobulator in there to re-up an Ancient of Lore, Keeper of the Grove or silenced Ancient of War. With all of the high cost minions, you'll almost always find a spot to play it.
This may be one of the funnest decks I've played.
Thanks
How do you deal with aggro decks? Face hunter, secret pally and tempo mage are destroying me. :(
If you don't draw clear you concede. Basically druid since ever
Only missing Icehowl, The Black Knight and Bolf now, which is more important to craft and what could I replace them with? I can craft all three if I spend all my dust, but if it isn't necessary, to play the deck optimally,I would rather not waste the dust. Thanks.
Thanks man, added you.
I really want to play this deck, but I am missing quite a few of the legendary's. I have about 7200 dust atm. Which ones are absolutely necessary and which ones can be replaced and with what? I am missing Aviana, Cenarius, Harrison Jones, Ragnaros and Alexestrasza. Thanks and great deck!
Aviana(As he says in the guide is absolutely necesary), Alex(Because of the combos), and Raggy.
Not sure how you made it through all the rush/tempo decks, but this deck is fun nonetheless, there's nothing more satisfying than turn 10 alextraza + rag
I love the idea of the deck but how do you not get rekt by pretty much every extreme aggro deck? I would suggest including at least one tree of life as it combos very well with naga as well as provides you a decent body which serves as a taunt almost guaranteeing full health.
This is a really great deck seeing as all the ones on the front page are all fast/midrange/combo. I'm trying to figure out which cards to craft next as this deck costs a ton of dust...
Which one of these legendaries should I craft?
1. Harrison Jones
2. Baron Geddon
3. Ragnaros
4. Alexstrasza
5. Ysera
I'm currently leaning towards Alexstrasza since that battlecry can help me if i'm behind or ahead, but judging from the comments, Baron Geddon is also really important, but I don't understand why. If you leave him on the board for too long he'll wipe out your own minions (Naga Witch/Aviana). Can someone explain this?
Your list should be in this order
1. Ysera- Awesome control card. Fits every priest and warrior decklist, save maybe patron, and this. Just all around a game-breaker and nothing that can really fill her shoes.
2-4. Subjective- If you're facing a ton of aggro decks as a control player, I advise Harrison Jones, as he is the king of anti-weapon but can be replaced with Acidic Swamp Ooze. Alextraza comes next. She's great in a pinch, but most of the time she's less helpful than one would hope. Played in freeze mage, control warrior as a finisher and used here and there, but has become less useful because of Reno Jackson. With this decklist being as consistent as it is, you could sub any fat legendary in her place and not have to worry much. Last is probably Ragnaros, though he's fallen in favor in the past stretch. Sees play sporadically here and there. Can win or cost a player a game. I'd recommend either a second BGH or another form of removal as a sub. I could see Starfire being a good sub with Naga on board and 10 mana.
5. Baron Geddon- Only sees play in control warrior, control warlock, and this deck. If you need board clear, throw in an Azure Drake for Drake + Swipe to hit their board for 2 damage. Could also sub in a Starfall if aggro is really persistent.
Hope that explanation works for ya!
I can totally see the value of having Ysera in a control deck like this one, but deck OP doesn't have it in his revised version so I'm trying to understand why he doesn't think it's as important.
Hatnisch emphasized how many games he had won with baron geddon and that he was the mvp of the deck. What do you think of that?
Can you link the revised version? From what I see, there's still Ysera in the deck.
Barron is awesome if you can ramp into him early (turns 4-5) vs aggro and absolutely shuts it down, but I mostly see him as reading "Deal 2 damage to target creature and your opponent and bait a BGH" which isn't horrible considering the beef behind this deck is unreal, but I haven't seen him with MVP potential in the 10 or so games he's hit the board.
He has a lot of value it seems when it comes to aggro matchups but like you said, He seems really vulnerable in general.
Here's the revised version: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/411152-s22-nagacontrol
I can't disagree with OP about Icehowl being better than Ysera as far as this deck is concerned, since it is immediate removal but Ysera still sees TONS of play and is still a solid card in the deck. I run Ysera because I just crafted Avianna and am sitting on like 200 dust right now. TL;DR In this deck Icehowl>Ysera, In your collection Ysera>>>Icehowl
shitty deck
What do you think about replacing an ancient of war with kelthuzad?
I made an account just so I could upvote this deck. Great job! My favourite deck at the moment. It's really fun to play.
